Why?

Not terrible, just… meh. It looks like a generic kids movie that they used find and replace on to make it Transformers. Also the designs make me uncomfortable.

It has really cringey, unfunny humor, and their faces look so weird. Also it's just following the trend of cool animation and hand-held camera. Nothing new.

Also the trailer literally tells me everything about the story

I very much agree, the thing is it's hard to tell since some movies maybe announced, flop, succeed, that you didn't think of so trying to guess now is kinda ridiculous.
