This type of sharing is like sharing a YouTube video with others (via the buttons in the share tab under a video). My suggestion is that Scratchers can share projects in the same method to a group(s)* of theirs or just individual followers, and the recipients would receive a notification in the “inbox” at the top right. To share their would be a share button next to the love-it and favorite-it buttons and a pop-up would appear to show you that person would want to share the project to (supposedly).

*Groups are made like studios, with a leader/owner and members (which can share) that can be promoted to Trusted Member (which can promote, demote, invite, and kick). The leader/owner have the same abilities, and cannot be removed from the group. (Also, I don't think groups need names.)

Side notes:
-You can only share already shared projects to others.
-It's kind of like a method of recommending.

In my opinion, in terms of having unnoticed projects go through more noticing, this method would be a far more efficient method of doing so.

So what do you think?

DO NOT MENTION RELATION TO SOCIAL MEDIA WEBSITES. YOU ARE GUARANTEED THAT I UNDERSTAND THAT VERY WELL NOW. DON'T REPEAT IT.

Alternative suggestions derived/reworded from suggestions to my suggestion:
-Having a row of projects on everyone's front page that includes all projects shared with them from other members in their group(s). @cheddargirl
-Same thing but removing manager-like rank in groups and owner can adjust member privileges (view, share, or view and share). @Rex208
-Sharing without groups (inserting names or followers as recipients instead). @Superandultra

Last major update to suggestion: 3-3-15
Content changes:
-Revamped suggestion length. (shrank it a lot)

Sounds like a good idea!
Too good, in fact… What would be your downside? I'd like to hear it!

Er..
All I can see that is on the con side is that people might share something and along with it say something like: “Look how bad this project is!”
But then again, the ability to add some words along with the project you're sharing doesn't have to be added, so it's not too big of a problem.
Or an alternative, add a report function somewhere in all that.

To tell the truth I'm kinda in love with this idea

but then again we already have studios for groups, and loving is pretty much sharing, as it pops up in your “what's happening” tab.
if anything this would turning scratch into a mediocre social media site, not a programming one.

I'd say if you like this idea then just twitter/fb/g+ instead

no support, but not really negative support.

Some things you just want to keep to yourself, but there are some things that you want other people to see, so what I think is that this suggestion (one of the things it could possibly do is: ) can work that around a little.
I think the difference between studios and groups are that studios hold projects for featuring or presentation, but frankly, I don't think many people actually view those projects.
But alright. Least I got feedback!

You could just make a studio and state the curator availability on the description. Then you could invite a bunch of people and share projects you like on the studio.

In fact, I'm pretty sure some already do this with their followers. No support, unless this idea has something completely unique.

No support. This is very similar to studios, so it isn`t needed.

No support.

I got bored when I was reading it, but it seems like you just want Scratch to be more like a social media site. Why not just use the social media website?

Also I have no idea what G+ looks anyway so what does it look like?

I'm guessing you're trying to make something where people can post projects they like and want to share with the community? This would increase the chance some peoples projects to be noticed!

The image doesn't show how sharing really works (only the results of someone sharing something without the link of anything), so I don't think that's reliable.
But if you had just scrolled up a little further before taking a screenshot…

How is this related to social media when you are recommending projects to be seen…?
Oh, and next time, read it all before you start making assumptions. Because I don't want Scratch to be more like a social media site. There's a difference between telling people what you did or do or feel and recommending projects.

Did you even finish reading the whole suggestion?

No support, Scratch is a programming language, not a social media network. Just get on Facebook/MySpace/Twitter/Google+/DeviantART/Instagram/Tumblr.
