The reason why Scratch 2.0 does not work on Ruffle yet is because Pixel Bender is unimplemented.

Scratch 2.0 needs (or requires) Pixel Bender to run fast and use filter effects,So when it got removed,it became slow in 2014,and scratch team had to implement a hardware acceleration option.

Although Flash can ignore that and run scratch 2.0 software-rendered,Ruffle assumes Scratch 2.0 requires Pixelbender to work at all,and since that is unimplemented,it makes scratch 2.0 crash with an error.

So yeah,No scratch 2.0 for you Ruffle,until you learn how to use pixelbender like you're a toddler learning how to talk.

Besides,Scratch 2.0 Beta does work, They fixed issue inside it.

It won't work without Pixel Blender support

However,if you're lucky enough to have Vulkan/DX12,you can get WebGPU for Ruffle,which enables you to get Scratch 2.0 working.

1. Some online features that are not in the offline editor, to use specific vers, and why not
2. There are tricks around the eol, which you can see in the original post, the original post is a guide and has urls (you need an older version of a browser that supports Flash or a browser that currently does)
3. 2.0 online can be accessed through the Wayback Machine and also stuff like scratchfoundation.github.io/scratchx and s2online.github.io

Does not work well, as I mentioned before. A lot of blocks are missing, the creator isn't working on it anymore, you cannot create custom blocks, the paint editor does not save, there are no sounds, and there are also other issues.

idk why people use ancient setup. just use clean flash player and firefox 84. yeah both are outdated but at least they're more updated than Firefox 63 and old flash player.

People can have different opinions, and there is a chance that someone doesn't care about stuff like that.
