Lego WEDO is connected and the script is built. When you start the script nothing happens. It works great in 1.4 but not in 2.0. Any help would be great.

Did you install the Chrome extension?

It was on a Chromebook. What is the Chrome extension? The main reason to solve this is for Scratch Day. We have a lot of kids coming with a variety of devices. It would be great if we could use 2.0 with them.

You need to find a Windows laptop with Chrome browser on it - as there is no Wedo plugin for Chromebook

I have gotten the Wedo motors and sensors to work in Scratch 1.4.
I tried to use the 2.0 but I always get the Red Dot meaning the plug-ins are not loaded.
Any suggestions?

You can install the browser plugin from here:

There is also a link in the tips window to this page. Unfortunately, Chromebooks don't support browser plugins (only extensions).

Hi,

I'm new to the forum and hope I can get some help please.

I can't get my LEGO WeDo to work with Scratch.

1. I'm using a Windows PC.
2. I've installed the extension and it is showing me a green light in the “Add Extension” section.
So I'm assuming the extension installed correctly.
3. When I go into Scratch. I'm using the newest version. I can see the LEGO WeDo blocks which are in gray.
4. However when I try to run the WeDo blocks, “turn motor on” etc nothing happens?

Scratch works perfectly well in isolation.

Any help or advice gratefully appreciated.

wedo working on 1.4, not working on 2.0. I have tried firefox and chrome. Light green, but no response from hardware.
Windows XP 32 bits.

Any help?

I found a solution: Scrath2 offline editor. It works like the web plugin and it works in Windows7 and in XP, and its lighter than the online version
