I don’t really play/watch any horror games other than FNAF, but I watch all of the trailers and theories about Poppy Playtime on YouTube. But maybe they could have better merch than just recoloured Huggy Wuggy plushies.

I actually see those bootleg versions in the kiosks in malls. I actually went to one and got myself a stress reliver toy and it only worked for 20 minutes and when I found out it broke I was really really mad.

Y'know, I once saw a clip of the player being chased by Poppy…

That is enough of this game I will need for the rest of my life. Have fun playing it…

I bet my life that if the Smiling Critters was a real toy franchise and had a real TV show without the controversies surrounding Playtime co., and they went on for many generations like the other iconic franchises, it would be more popular than MLP and Care Bears combined and it would be the most popular animal toy franchise ever. And it would have the most popular movie and fandom ever.
But what do you guys think? What do you think that would be like?

CONSIDER THIS: The majority of toys in the United States are made in China today. How did this happen? Outsourcing of toy manufacturing to China began in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It is said that the toy industry was one of the first to make these changes, as companies like Mattel and Hasbro began to shift their manufacturing operations to China to take advantage of lower labor costs and the country's growing manufacturing capabilities. By the 1990s, China had become the world's leading manufacturer of toys.
For comparison, Playtime Co. is based in the United States, so it is assumed they make all their toys there. But if you've seen the scenes of Chapter 2, there is a box with Russian letters on it and there is a video with German and Russian subtitles. So it is assumed they must have other similar operations in Russia and Germany (or any of the German speaking countries in Europe). They made toys from like 1930 up until 1995. It doesn't look like they have any associations with China.
QUESTION: If Playtime Co. was one of the companies to outsource their manufacturing to China around the same time other toy companies did, how would the game be completely different? Would anything change?

the “Make a Friend” area wouldn't really exist, most toy factory areas along with it, the title screens of 1 and 2 would have the facility be much smaller, however playtime co would be more like a disney world thing (and playcare and the game station would be different as well), the smiling critters would probably just be a gimmick like most other characters, another thing to be stuck in the background, most of chapter 3, some of chapter 2 and half of chapter 1 wouldnt work well

Personally I like this game, but if you insult a game even if you hate it, then that's an opinion and you should keep it to yourself.
