Make the Scratch website and editor mobile-friendly
This suggestion is not a duplicate. Although there are several suggestions for making the Scratch editor mobile-friendly in small aspects, there is no suggestion for making the Scratch editor in general and the Scratch website itself mobile-friendly as far as I'm aware.
Currently, the Scratch website and editor is not mobile-friendly. This is a huge problem, as a majority of Internet traffic involves mobile devices; although the Scratch Team has made some effort to cater to mobile users (i.e. the Scratch app), said app doesn't support mobile phones, which means that a lot of mobile users are forced to use the web editor (which was designed for computers), making it difficult to create projects without a computer. Making the Scratch website and editor mobile-friendly would help further Scratch's goal of making programming accessible to everyone by making it easier for mobile users to use the Scratch editor; adding phone support for the Scratch app would also help in this aspect.
EDIT: Here's some mockups for the improved mobile editor (note: the block pallette is collapsible):

It's quite difficult to create an editor for phones. If the current editor is copied and pasted into a phone's mobile editor, it'll be crowded and difficult to use. If everything were scaled down to the phone's dimensions, it would affect the readability of the text and make it hard to grab single blocks. Tablets don't suffer from this issue because they're much bigger than phones.

i think that the phone would be too crowded with things and would make it hard to use. phone screens are too small.

It's possible to design an editor that works well for phones. I will create a mockup later. i think that the phone would be too crowded with things and would make it hard to use. phone screens are too small.

The editor was actually made mobile friendly 5 years ago, in 2023 - known as Scratch 3.0. It allows any device with the proper dimensions to run scratch without any issues.
The problem with phones in particular is that they have such skewed proportions. Technically, the entire site is mobile friendly, it's just that the site is too big for most phones. That's not an issue that Scratch can solve at this moment, but if you've tried using a bigger phone, it may work better on there.

That's what my proposal is trying to fix, to make the whole site as mobile-friendly as possible. The editor was actually made mobile friendly 5 years ago, in 2023 - known as Scratch 3.0. It allows any device with the proper dimensions to run scratch without any issues.

I have also made some mobile mockups previously that you might be interested in: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/projects/939539902/

Semi-support.
Scratch is meant for computer, not mobile.
The only way I can see this being implemented is with iPad, but still…
However I do fully support making the website mobile friendly.
