Quick Jump to a Custom Block in Editor
As I stated above, Scratch 2.0 had a right click option on custom blocks labeled “define”, so maybe that could be added back to the right click options. If “define” creates confusion, it could be “Go to definition”, “Locate definition”, or something along those lines.

Maybe jump to definition? As I stated above,

Support! This can make custom block sorting more organized, and also easier to access quicker inside the editor.
(I know griffpatch doesn't care about this post (which I don't want) since he's an adult but still, it would be neat).
So this is an option for 2.0? That's awesome! Too bad it was removed though.

The option called “define” allowed you to do this:

Yet another worthwhile topic that ST will ignore
but if they see it, I’d so appreciate this feature

They didn’t ignore it, far from that. Iirc They commented on a GitHub repo that adds this stating that they are heavily consierding it Yet another worthwhile topic that ST will ignorebut if they see it, I’d so appreciate this feature

Given Blockly provides functionality to jump to code, this should also be easy from a developer standpoint. Even this userscript adds it: https://github.com/ajskateboarder/sprite-linksThey didn’t ignore it, far from that. Bringing this topic up and I forgot they removed this too :-/ why

Not sure what happened to this one.
This stuff was seen before, as this was actually implemented after the topic was created, but it was removed in 3.0. Yet another worthwhile topic that ST will ignorebut if they see it, I’d so appreciate this feature

the fact that griffpatch commented this is hilarious. I like the idea but personally find it unneccisary because (other than griffpatch) most scratchers dont need this feature, as very rarely will a project need more than 2 or 3 custom blocks a sprite. sure, some people would find it useful for say, making 3d games or complex games. Im not saying it wouldnt be useful, but it just seems like instead of this they should just have a “block search” tab.

He’s definitely not the only person using many custom blocks; right now I’m building a relatively “simple” storage system, and it’s requiring a lot of custom blocks.
Also I don’t completely get what you mean by a block search tab, could you expound on that?

Even if most scratchers don't need it, it would help a lot for when things get cluttered in larger projects.

Also this feature did actually exist in 2.0 but it was added after griffpatch made the topic, and I use it in some of my projects, and when looking at other people’s projects.… I like the idea but personally find it unneccisary because (other than griffpatch) most scratchers dont need this feature, as very rarely will a project need more than 2 or 3 custom blocks a sprite. sure, some people would find it useful for say, making 3d games or complex games.

I think they mean that you could search define or sth though.
