Support. Let's also add the ability to rename lists, and remove message1.

There already is!
Right click on a list in the scripts tab and there you have the “rename” option.
And you can already remove message1
I know this is kind of an old post, but it would return when everything else was deleted when they made that post, or try not disappearing. And renaming lists wasn't possible until Scratch 3.0, you had to delete the lists, and then replace the old name in scripts with the new one (the mentions of variables/lists weren't deleted automatically when deleting them until 3.0).

Changing every instance of the message could be a bit annoying to implement.
After renaming a variable, guess what happens to all instances that the variable appears in?

Has the Scratch team commented on this matter at all? They've had to see it by this point
I mean, they did add it at some point, but it's no longer in Scratch 3.0, and nix mentioned that it existed on an issue on Github:

I don’t think it’s that confusing, if you really think about it kids will be confused of what does it even broadcast.

Which you can't even name on the website, so people might not know it exists.
Also, that does not count, as it is not affiliated with Scratch or the Scratch Team. By that logic, if we were still in 2.0 and someone suggested to add the contains block or index of item in list, then you could say “No support, can be worked around by a mod”. Also, the show and hide list blocks were likely in a mod before they were actually implemented in 2.0 (it was likely easy to do since you could already use the checkbox), so if this were the case and we were applying this reasoning, we also shouldn't have those blocks.

Also, it used to be that you just right clicked one of the broadcast blocks, and it allowed you to rename it.
What version was that?

At first I thought this post the OP was renaming giving a new name thinking of a new name for the messages tab but support, it is annoying when i make a typo, have to make a new message, save project then reload the project editor.

I think one should be able to change the names of messages by right-clicking on them in broadcast and receive. If this was possible more Scratch-programs would be easier to read because of better message names.
Support.
To end these messages containing spelling mistakes would be great !

Also, when you make a typo, and only realize until you've made like a thousand references of the message. This feature used to exist in 2.0 (it was implemented after the original post) too when you right clicked a broadcast block:

I said that it was possible in 2.0, and that it wasn't possible in 3.0. Read the part before the images.

Support, I could find this being convenient if somebody wants to remix a project made by me somebody who uses unconventional words that are completely unrelated to what the message does.
