(#278)Why limit it to one specific kind of cyber threat? It should be referred to as “Malicious Links or websites” in general.I agree with this. It would be really bad if someone got hacked because of a phishing site. Here, I'll create a draft: Maybe add, “Do not share links to phishing websites.”
Phishing links aren't that common, but they do exist. Maybe add it to prevent stealing Scratch passwords and even passwords from different websites.
Be safe (the section):
Don't share links to phishing websites. Phishing websites are sites that collect personal information without letting the other user know. If you see a strange link, don't click on it! Report it or use Contact Us to let the Scratch Team know.
Good idea. Honestly, this could prevent one of those “Free robux” scams since Roblox is trending rn and younger Scratchers that are also Roblox players could fall for that.

Actually, I believe sharing Roblox usernames is banned on Scratch now. Good idea. Honestly, this could prevent one of those “Free robux” scams since Roblox is trending rn and younger Scratchers that are also Roblox players could fall for that.

I don't think that would help stop the flow of inappropriate content easily in my opinion. Do warnings help? like saying 13+

Can I put a disclaimer on my Scratch project to warn people it's not for all ages?src
Everything shared in our community should be appropriate for all ages. Any content that requires a disclaimer or warning isn't aligned with this philosophy and would not be suitable for Scratch. If a warning is needed, it is probably not appropriate for Scratch.

Would saying "I disagree with becoming a member of " be counted as hate?

Anyway, this should probably go in QAS if it wants a good answer instead of in the middle of discussion.

That is a great question. Some forms of speech can sometimes be disguised as hate speech instead in most cases, but what I see right here in front of context is not really hate, but more like disagreement or uninterest in something (like being a member of a community). Would saying "I disagree with becoming a member of " be counted as hate?

Why would that be hate?

Likely yes, as the way you're using this means that you are disagreeing with other people's decisions regarding their personal life. “I disagree with me going to MIT” is fine, as its completely your choice to make, but “I disagree with YOU going to MIT” is likely not a nice thing to say. While it is still acceptable to argue against going to MIT, it is often not so much the case when you are refering to a group of people, as while MIT is an institution, any group is made up solely of people and anything said against them will be directed directly against them. Of course, if you say something like “I disagree with people becoming (that one certain political ideology which supports the genocide of literally everyone except like 4 countries in Europe)”, that'd be fine, as it is widely accepted that it is OK to hate on these people due to the crimes they have committed (and the fact that their whole ideology is based on committing more genocide). Would saying "I disagree with becoming a member of " be counted as hate?

I recommend you add that face reveals aren’t allowed either. I think it is allowed though to include your face in a animation, game, etc, but you cannot make the project JUST about your face.
Edit: Also, add that rating Scratchers isn’t allowed either.

Scratch doesn't allow any faces showing and claiming it's you in general. I think describing what you look like should be okay as there can be someone out there who looks a lot like you. But if you do a face reveal someone can identify if you're a kid or not. Even then, if there is a Scratcher secretly thinking of hurting you, they might end up doing bad stuff to you if they find you irl.
