Please don't announce projects before you release them.
Those topics were made by kids that thought they could make mods but never actually did - and they specified that they will.(#39)No, making people wait for a mod in the ATs would make people think that the mod doesn't actually exist, because there have been multiple mods that have been announced as “working on it” that didn't result in anything. That's why this topic was created.
No. Creating hype would make people more excited since they've been waiting for a long time.

I personally get more excited when I can actually try a project out right away, like @mybearworld said. Waiting for a long time deters me from caring about the project.No. Creating hype would make people more excited since they've been waiting for a long time.(#37)Wouldn't you be more excited if you saw what the mod can do with a “Try it now” link so you can actually try it for yourself?
That's called creating hype, and it should be allowed since the creator might have worked really hard for the project and wants other users to be excited when using it for the first time.

Maybe sharing it then making a topic will work :)
Then, your topic may not get closed (but why would people create AN ENTIRE STUDIO based on ONE game!? Even (removed by moderator - please don't name names) does this and invites me to every studio!?!?!?!?!??!?!)

(#43)Yep, that's what this topic is about

(#43)This would probably be to tell all your followers that you made a new game. This seems unrelated to this topic, though

I really can't be bothered to go create a studio for every game that i want to be popular and make the entire studio flood with projects.

(#45)You don't get a notification for that, though.

Haha, I used to do this sort of thing back in the day. When I was 11 years old, I decided to write a mod called Hopfoot (no, I don't know where this name came from; I was young and I was a weird kid
).
It lasted only a few months, and I only added the most basic unused blocks into it. I only compiled one official version before I decided that I should cancel the project because I didn't know how to do anything else. The point is, I should've thought way more about what features I was going to add, and more importantly, how I was going to add them, before I decided to go ahead and make a thread for it; again, I was young and naïve, and now I can look back at this and laugh, but at the time I just felt stupid.

I'm not gonna read the whole discussion, so tell me if it has been suggested before me.
Add a “History” section and write the full story of how it originated along with the first post that MagicCrayon made to tell people to make the thing before using it. I feel like it would be essential just to give the kids some backstory on that.

(#51)Would it be really be necessary? I feel like the reasoning makes sense as it is.

I mean, he did advocate for it for as long as I could remember, and ig it's the reason this exists…(#51)Would it be really be necessary? I feel like the reasoning makes sense as it is.

I would like to remind everyone that the user in question used to do the exact opposite of what this topic is about. A few years ago he announced projects all the time without creating them first. At some point he did a 180 and decided to tell everyone not to announce projects before creating them, which seemed a bit hypocritical at the time. What I'm trying to say is that I don't think he should really be credited for the policy. People were telling him this long before he started telling it to everyone else.I mean, he did advocate for it for as long as I could remember, and ig it's the reason this exists…(#51)Would it be really be necessary? okay, so… i feel like the title is a bit.. unrelated? i feel like maybe just change it to “Dont make a post about mods before you make them,” because the title feels like it would belong in a different category.

(#58)Hm, what do you mean? This isn't only about Scratch mods, it's just the example I used because it's been occurring a lot with Scratch mods.
