Edit Block Colors in Scratch 3
Personally, I love the idea.
What I really want to do is change it to the old 2.0 block colours.
RIP 2.0 colours
Also if someone is colourblind then changing the block colours may be helpful,
So 95% support!

It could be confusing if someone is trying to learn Scratch from someone who is has different colour blocks than them There was an old feature in Scratch 2.0 which allowed people to change the block colors. Unfortunately, this has been removed in Scratch 3. Please add back the edit block colors feature! (Taken and edited from Rejected Suggestion 2.3)
Plus, you could always confuse people using the same computer as you by changing the colour to white, therefore making the block text almost impossible to read.

Actually, come to think of it, yeah…It could be confusing if someone is trying to learn Scratch from someone who is using a completely different colour blocks than them There was an old feature in Scratch 2.0 which allowed people to change the block colors. Unfortunately, this has been removed in Scratch 3. Please add back the edit block colors feature! (Taken and edited from Rejected Suggestion 2.3)
It would be weird if people just have like… Pink variables and beige operators
But I still want the 2.0 colours back-maybe that could be an option?

Can you elaborate on why you support? SUPPORT
Well, they are working on something for colorblind users (it can be see on It helps colorblind people guys, why are you don't care about colorblind scratchersScratch Lab), which will be released very soon, but there have been people with vision problems or colorblindness that have stated that it makes it harder for them to see the blocks. However, it will be optional, and they're also making a dark mode.
The people on this topic are stating that some people won't use it for that purpose, or that it would look weird to users if the blocks were colored differently for them.
For example, let's say people had these colors:

But then some other dude had these:

SUPPORT - I cannot read the white text in the yellow blocks. I am not colorblind, but have vision loss and trouble with contrast. If nothing else, at least make the text black in the yellow blocks.

They’re working on a high contrast thingy and according to github it’s releasing sometime after june 29 SUPPORT - I cannot read the white text in the yellow blocks. Apparently that’s the events category now

What if someone changed the extension colors to black (for example), and then turned on high-contrast mode? What would happen?

Maybe high contrast wouldn’t be possible with custom colors? Or it would lighten the block by a specific percentage. There wouldn’t be a way to make it perfect What if someone changed the extension colors to black (for example), and then turned on high-contrast mode? What would happen?

Maybe you could be able to change the text color? What if someone changed the extension colors to black (for example), and then turned on high-contrast mode? What would happen?
Also, Scratch 2.0 allowed you to make all the blocks completely white, and all that happened was you couldn't see what they're saying.

How about we make it that the person who's viewing the project sees it in their colors, however this could cause confusion when screenshots are shared…
