Or maybe we could add the same sort of system but with sisters instead.
what about people who have a sibling who is not the same gender as them
I think we can assume that something like this would also be added.
so would it be “siblingly” instead of brotherly?
it still will never work for many reasons

To be honest, I have no idea what the “brotherly block” would even do, or what category it would be in.

I must've stopped reading right before bc I could've sworn that wasn't there.

Bringing this topic to the 1st page.
Also, another reminder to not post sketchy links to dangerous/inappropriate websites.
-
I also think the title needs to be brothers/sisters or just siblings. Seems better.
There are a lot of holes (cons/bad things) that won’t make the cut for the community.

Just replace “brother” with “sibling”, problem solved!

Forumers try to read the OP challenge.

I guess I could see the benefit to this- easier to point to siblings, and not much of a privacy concern due to them not sharing their last name, nor personal info. This is also possible with the About Me.
However, pronouns are also rejected due to the same reason.
HOWEVER, “@RandomUserLOL” is much longer than “They/Them”, and it doesn't help with multiple people.
But- make a studio and link them there.

I read through OP's post. Yes, I saw them mention sisters. But this whole “brotherly” talk is pushing sisters off to the side, and as a female I find that sexist.

As for the suggestion itself, I don't support. I don't see a good use for the “brotherly” block and I don't think I'll ever use it anyway.

The overarching suggestion is more important than details as such, and dog piling won't exactly change things.
Also, I didn't mean anyone in particular

  1. You can't make it unlock netherite in Paper Minecraft, because Paper Minecraft is just Griffpatch's game, not official or anything.
  2. What would the brotherly block do, what category would it even be?
  3. Adding the “siblings?” block may allow doing the first point but it makes no sense why would you do that.
  4. ID verification is hard to do, and needs to be outsourced, which creates privacy concerns and is out of the ST's budget.
  5. Live collaborations like Google Docs are rejected, no matter what.
  6. What if you have multiple siblings, and what about sisters?

I mean, aren’t shared accounts allowed between family members, and that’s basically the same thing.

Thank god pronouns are rejected. We don't need to bring that stuff onto scratch.mit.edu which is already manifesting in horrendous ways outer platform.

I wasn't even being sexist. Literally, stop accusing me of literal sexism just because I focused on brothers.

(jeez, people have to toughen up a bit sometimes.)

I don't think pronouns were rejected, the thread was just closed because it was getting heated up with (controversial) discussions about pronouns.
