Only allow whitelisted URLs for new scratchers or don't allow them to post offsite links

I support this, it would make it much harder for scammers and spammers, and while it's annoying for New Scratchers, it has precedence from current moderation features.

EDIT: KOTP

Yeah it'd annoy New Scratchers ALOT if they can't post offsite — But it'd atleast throw a few alts, spams & scams to a device's recycle bin.
It's more of a sacrifice but could be beneficial.

Mentioned it in the suggestion already — Albeit what's stopping someone from dragging it into the searchbar or simply ctrl + c ctrl + v?
All it does is add extra steps, and the site being educational means anyone could find some random student account who might not know not to click random links, sends one, kaboosh. That school computer ain't gonna be super safe to use. If we removed the ability for a fresh account to post offsite links, it'd be much, MUCH more tedious to do this, which would deter quite alot of scammers.

yeah, I think Scratches current features like
  1. 120/60 second ‘demon’
  2. Comment delay
  3. Comment size limit
  4. Antispam (For comments and following too apparently)
  5. Muting
  6. More not on the top of my head
support this really well.

I find it doesn't matter much, so long as it's been about 24 hours it's usually fine. The ST isn't going to ban you for bumping 22 hours after your last bump.

I know, just trying to not keep the topic too dead or too alive and to time bumps correctly.
Also this has been never bumped except once when I mentioned it

It'd mainly annoy the ones who don't make a quintillion alt accounts. Although it'd be atleast something.
Thanks for that btw, I'm too lazy to bump often, although I'll end up most likely bumping more often now.

Well yeah and not to hate on Sonic fans solution, but there's still people who might just not have a second thought — As a person with ADHD, i can barely help myself from pasting a url into my searchbar or just clicking links in general.

The popup is just indicating — Like every other site, “hey we don't care whats past here so youre being slammed to bazinga land” is just what it feels like its trying to emit. (the fanmade pop-up by sonic fan, not to hate on this solution by the way, apologies if I sound rude, it's just I can't emphasize in a different way.)
Which would only stop a small fraction, whilst preventing New Scratchers from posting offsite could just give them a brick on their head so they have to wait to post their definetly not suspicious links and whatnot.
This could be also done with About Me & WIWO otherwise this'd be a useless attempt to fight back against it, considering here on the Forums there's not as many people that could fall victim to these types of garbagely dumb scams that some kids might fall for simply out of curiousity, daring or other things.
Even if this Suggestion talks about the Forums, this could come in handy so ST would have less to moderate.
Filtering links from New Scratchers is a sacrifice, sure. But it'd still snap alot of these phishing links to genuine dust temporarily, which would prevent a possible snowball affect(touching on this last) — Which is mainly what I attempt to emphasize on;

The forums has alot less people that would fall victim to these, whilst on the mainsite… Yeah, just go to the Statistics page(Specifically age distribution), probably the least ever used page in Scratch. Most people are 10 to 12 years old (mostly 12 though) on this platform, student account or not. This isn't a very good thing mixed with people attempting to slam phishing links taken from bazingaland.
There's way more pain there to moderate. Apologies for this short ramble, but I think I should just point this out.
And again apologies if I'm overly negative even if this suggestion(My own and Sonicfan's) could help out, there's not really a ‘solution’ to scam links other than preventing links in the first place — Which of course, would just be bad and hated on by the Scratch Community. A change barely anyone would be a fan of. Restricting links to people who are a Scratcher can be a small wall of defense against it, as you may know — These links may start to have a snowball affect, increasingly and growingly appearing more often with more victims.
Great thing atleast (removed, won't elaborate why but I believe I shouldn't mention it.) links aren't sitting around for a good few months at this point.

EDIT: Probably rewriting this suggestion due to how vague, unexplained and how much crucial information it is cutting off.
It will be rewritten most likely, the main factor won't change, only the wording will be updated, more explained, and some things of the suggestion may be modified(Added or removed from the suggestion) due to how ridicolous some of it may be.

I've rewritten the topic to be more understandable, less vague and answer questions that could be asked.
I believe this should be said just to tell that posts above are before the rewrite, everything below this post is after the rewrite, just to avoid confusion.
Alot of the posts' points before the rewrite still stand like a peice of earth, if they we're accounted on in this rewrite, don't quote it saying they didn't read it entirely.
I'm only saying this since I believe it should be said just to avoid confusion.
edit: theres definetly gonna be confusion
