So, this will not happen in my opinion. Why? Maybe some of the popular artists and animators don't want their styles to be used by everyone to make OCs. If even a single person like that said NO to everyone using their style, the the ST would just lose hours of work. Not only that, but Scratch isn't about OCs. Scratch is about coding and some social media things. Now get mad at me “Scratch isn't about designing but there are still design studios by ST!”. Yeah, but if Scratch wasn't about designing then why is the costume editor even here if it's made for people to design costumes? If you want to make an OC, try yourself or use an already existing OC designer. There are tons of them on Scratch. You can also ask someone else to make you an OC. ST will not focus on adding OC creator because it's hard to draw an OC for some people. Instead, they will focus on making the site colorblind friendly, accessible for more people and improving already existing aspects of Scratch. No support.

just ask the person who owns that artsyle to make an oc creator and if they don't want to it's not hard to make one yourself using their costumes/sprites

But it will be a HUGE money and time waster for the scratch team that have servers they need to upkeep

no support, you see there's these things called “icon makers” on scratch and they basically let you do the same thing

you see the point of the forums is for everyone to reply, rarely the scratch team replys unless the thread is going somewhere
i also see no point it this as this can be coded in a project in like ten minutes
if you really want one of these feel free to just backpack other peoples art (AFTER ASKING) and make your own

It's not recolouring if you're taking it from the Sprite Library.

I read your message, but you do realize that there are such things as “ Rating OCs ” or “ Doing something to your OCs ” projects? If you don't, basically you send in your OC, then the original project creator evaluates your own OC by looking at the rules carefully, if they do follow the criteria for the service, then the original project creator will remix the remix to complete the service that the OC maker asked for.

And you know, the service the user provides will most likely have a terms of service. It may include the basics, which are that the user won't remix OCs that break the scratch TOS, but some of the more specific rules is that they wouldn't do the service for OCs that were just from the sprite library.

That’s what I meant. If I were an animator, I wouldn’t want everyone to just use MY style to make OCs. I had a situation one time, when I made an aesthetic for myself in a style of another artist’s aesthetics, and they started calling everyone who uses their style idiots. If this OC thingy was introduced, I think st would use their own styles rather than using the animators’ styles. And, not everyone likes these animators, and could find it annoying that you can only their styles.

For creeperyeettt I can kind of get it. You're clearly really young. The one and only point you were trying to debunk was worded weirdly and was really awkward, but you still could've acknowledged the main points at the very least.

As for RAiNKiTT3N, I honestly have no idea how you managed to get “there are no icon makers on scratch” from a post about the problems with relying on the icon makers that users made on scratch for official features. Did you just not read the post at all? It literally starts by acknowledging these projects lmao.

It's more than a workaround. A lot of people make these OC creators for this purpose, and you can expect much more variation from these than what an official OC generator would give. Also, Scratch Team doesn't have to be concerned either, as all of these generators are still on the main website. (moderated)
