A private censor list.
(#361)and here's a thought, perhaps someone wants to hide stuff like that from homophobic family members who would really overreact to seeing thatthank uWhat effect would this have exactly? The only benefit I see here is for Anti-LGBT and similar people to censor stuff like “gay”.
Bad words are already not allowed on scratch. I don’t see the need to censor anything else.
If some people are offended by words like d**n and h**l, they could censor it. It only censors it for the user censoring it so it really doesn't affect anybody else. Also, the trade off for parents being turned away from letting their kids program just because of some rude words in exchange for homophobes censoring the word “gay” for their account only is probably beneficial in the long run.
Exactly!

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you're talking about addictions like pornography and booze. I'm talking about trauma triggers, not addiction triggers.Ok so let's say that a quick google search(#4)ok so let's say someone went through a whole load of trauma

You're like my grandpa that avoided any help from smoking addiction and then died of lung cancer. You should do what's right for you, not what you want to do. By that logic, half of the world would be NEETs.Google is probably not the place to go when it comes to stuff that's sensitive to you. Ok so let's say that a quick google search

https://americanaddictioncenters.org/co-occurring-disorders/ptsd-addiction/how-to-avoid-the-triggersThe article also tells you to develop effective coping strategies and, hear me out, before saying to avoid triggers it also tells you that it's an impractical way of coping. Just like doing schoolwork quickly and easily, with little effort put into it.

Another reason this suggestion doesn't work is the context.
Someone should know which words they don't want to see, right? Well, if they see a phrase with the word censored they would recognize the word from context alone! This is useless in terms of avoiding trauma.

See, but it’s also helpful for censoring words like d*mn and lm*o, since some people don’t like them, but ST decided they weren’t offensive enough to censor (this site is for kids 8+ as they keep saying, SO WHY DO THEY ALLOW SWEARS!?’

They'll easily know what word it is in the sentence : “I love * and the * people”
They'll know exactly that it's Poland and Polish

But they won’t actually see the word! Also, if they see a * they will probably not read the rest of the sentence!

What if the asterisk is in the middle of the sentence? You've probably already read most of the sentence's context and already know which word it is.If your censor list isthey cant kno if the have more than one word Another reason this suggestion doesn't work is the context.

Treat the asterisk like a word in a different language, with many different meanings, you should automatically recognize the word.

If you search for stuff that's sensitive to you, you'll get results of forums where people are talking about stuff that triggers you, and they're probably saying it in extreme detail. The internet is full of idiots, remember that. You're like my grandpa that avoided any help from smoking addiction and then died of lung cancer. You should do what's right for you, not what you want to do. By that logic, half of the world would be NEETs.Google is probably not the place to go when it comes to stuff that's sensitive to you. Also, you never said you were searching up “help for triggers”. All you said was “i'm gonna search up my own triggers”.

Addiction centers aren't google mate, and I'm sorry for the loss of your grandfather, but he doesn't really relate to the topic at hand.
