Secondly, Railroads, Don't bother with creating rules that seem like Railroads.

I call them railroads because DnD community calls the practice of forbidding players from making their character doing something that may be changing a plot ( for good or for worse. ) For example;

User 1: “ (( Perm to kill Emberstar? )) ”
User 2: “ (( Yeah )) ”
Petty admin: “ You can't do that!! ”

As you can see, the admin is clearly not letting Thunderclan be free of Emberstar's tyranny, even if user 2 gave user 1 permission. This is what I call railroading. Also, making a character to RP as shouldn't be forbidden, too. A new RPer need a character to RP. Furthermore, talking or interacting with an ORP shouldn't be forbidden, too. ( Okay with CRP )
Honestly, I don't enjoy obvious railroad ruled RPs as much. Railroads can also mean personality and such being restricted to only one type. Theme: Don't Railroad, just don't. ( Killing w/o permission is definitely NOT O.K. )

Alright, this is really old and I think it's a bit too petty

Here's a story so as you guys know what 100% inspired me to go on to this rant:

- So I was trying to claim this evil OC ( Which I wanted to change a bit ) and wanted to change to be a sort of Deadpool-like mercenary and blind but someone said “ No, you can't have this OC and make them a smidgen amount of nice, they're supposed to be pure evil ” ( Not the exact words and I think i sounded pretty petty here too but nvm ), and I didn't like having OCs who are 100% evil with no good personality traits whatsoever and has no ounce of good in them so i decided to make my own OC taking some of the OCs traits ( their looks and gender ) while incorporating my own ideas
- And one time in same RP I wanted my med cat to have kits but no father involved but the RP owner said “ not until u get an apprentice ” that was a bit after I made this whole rant however I saw that as a kinda railroad moment
- The first thing that happened that inspired me to rant on this was When I tried to make an evil leader for this clan bc I wanted to have sum simple fun with practicing villain RPs but the owner said “ Well, I thought up a good plan, and in order for that to work, you gotta have a good leader for this clan! ” And my mind was like “ Well, then make a fanfiction or make the leader of the clan instead of railroading, with fanfiction you can do the plan without having to railroad. ” and my mind was just being angry and petty at the time lol

Again, I get this might've sounded petty, but I had a bit of a pet peeve

TL;DR: I got told that I have to make my adopted OCS keep their personality and told I shouldn't make my OCs do a specific thing or be of a specific alignment and grown a bit petty so I made the rant above

Personality always plays a big part in a RP. It doesn't matter what character or what personality. It will always attach your character closer to others and you.

Here Mara and Garry goes to see if Garry is a chosen one in a test. In the middle part, I imagine where garry was which i thought he would be in a cave/tunnel if it were to be in a visual scene.

Ok this is the major part of how to RP in a nutshell. You have seen a lot of parentheses and that is fine. IRL communication is the key on how to make an RP great. Interacting with the given environment is a good way to show details of your RP chain comment (or to either stall). While K13marie have had thought of a plan, I had a plan after it and it was thought as I was RPing. The door is like a gateway to another dimension where after Samantha had enter, the other parallel and alternative dimension was thought up by me. Like I said before you don't need to restrict to one dimension RP. This dimension was not permanent but to tease Garry about his relationship with Samantha. Samantha is the only one who isn't part of the parallel dimension. You can read more of these awesome comment chains in Endless Realties RP. The link is provided above comment and if you do I would prefer to read comment chains with about 100+ comments. Some about 50+ comments are good too.

If this is still open, I have another RP tip. Try to get your character involved in whatever is going on. It's ok to make a character that is shy or more distant or angry, but you can't just have your character walk into a corner and expect people to suddenly want to interact with them.

Make them do interesting things, talk with others (even if they have a more introvert/edgy personality), and actually contribute to what's going on. Mostly writing from experience that people who write characters who are rude/standoffish to everyone and never want to talk usually find that people drift away from them as the RP continues.

This is very true, every rp I join or am started in, I try to “Walk up” or “introduce myself”.

Update: I started to agree with my rant again, just a little bit, however.

So i started to make my own tips for a good RP;

1. If you want a character to be roleplayed in a certain way, roleplay them yourself or instead, make a fanfiction.

2. If a player wants their character to be killed off - let them do that.

3. Do not police how others write when roleplaying, it's just not nice.

4. try to see all writing styles as 3rd person when judging if they are breaking your rules or not. TL;DR: Writing style ≠ being overpowered.

5. Let a player make new characters and make their existing characters have some new family ( whenever children, long lost siblings, parents, etc, and adopted or biological. )

TL;DR: Roleplay a character yourself if you want a certain character roleplayed a certain way, let players kill off their characters, Writing style ≠ overpowered character(s), let others make their own future of their characters and make new characters.

Alright, this is really old and I think it's a bit too petty

Here's a story so that you guys know what 100% inspired me to go on to this rant:

- So I was trying to claim this evil OC ( Which I wanted to change a bit ) and wanted to change to be a sort of Deadpool-like mercenary and blind but someone said “ No, you can't have this OC and make them a smidgen amount of nice, they're supposed to be pure evil ” ( Not the exact words and I think I sounded pretty petty here too but nvm ), and I didn't like having OCs who are 100% evil with no good personality traits whatsoever and has no ounce of good in them so I decided to make my own OC taking some of the OCs traits ( their looks and gender ) while incorporating my own ideas
- And one time in the same RP I wanted my med cat to have kits but no father involved but the RP owner said “Not until u get an apprentice ” That was a bit after I made this whole rant however I saw that as a kinda railroad moment
- The first thing that happened that inspired me to rant on this was When I tried to make an evil leader for this clan bc I wanted to have some simple fun with practicing villain RPs but the owner said “ Well, I thought up a good plan, and in order for that to work, you gotta have a good leader for this clan! ” And my mind was like “ Well, then make a fanfiction or make the leader of the clan instead of railroading, with fanfiction you can do the plan without having to the railroad. ” my mind was just being angry and petty at the time lol

Again, I get this might've sounded petty, but I had a bit of a pet peeve

TL;DR: I got told that I have to make my adopted OCS keep their personality and told I shouldn't make my OCs do a specific thing or be of a specific alignment and grown a bit petty so I made the rant above

Update: I started to agree with my rant again, just a little bit, however.

So i started to make my own tips for a good RP;

1. If you want a character to be roleplayed in a certain way, roleplay them yourself or instead, make a fanfiction.

2. If a player wants their character to be killed off - let them do that.

3. Do not police how others write when roleplaying, it's just not nice.

4. try to see all writing styles in 3rd person when judging if they are breaking your rules or not. TL;DR: Writing style ≠ being overpowered.

5. Let a player make new characters and make their existing characters have some new family ( whenever children, long lost siblings, parents, etc, and adopted or biological. )

TL;DR: Roleplay a character yourself if you want a certain character roleplayed a certain way, let players kill off their characters, Writing style ≠ overpowered character(s), let others make their own future of their characters, and make new characters.

I can't lie, that I agree with you 1,000%. This isn't a thing that I've encountered, but it sounds terrible.
