I agree with what they're saying I'm torn on this.
On one hand I agree with @muellly and @Charles12310 in that we shouldn't be policing Scratchers on how they want to use the site, even if it isn't for it's intended purpose.
On the other hand, I do think that accounts that would be following that many would be misusing the follower button.
What I think the follower button should be used for:
- Keeping up with a certain users activity - you may share interests (seeing what they favorite)/ you want to see what they share next
- To show appreciation for the user/ his/her content - you might think they really deserve it
I probably could come up with more reasons but I can't think of any more right now.
- You know the person in real life/ good friend on Scratch - pretty self explanatory, it's showing you don't hate them i'm kidding
So what really is the use of following 1000+ people?
If there is no benefit to following that many people, sure a limit would be okay.
I'm still not decided though. I may lean towards no, because while it's not doing any good, it's also not causing any harm (that I know of) so I don't see the purpose of limiting it. If it is, then I stand by what I said about followers earlier and I'll say that yes, there should be a limit.
Sorry I got a little crazy with coloring stuff

No support, why does it matter if people are following a lot of people? What if they’re on scratch for a long time? They might want to remember the people who they followed a couple years ago.

People should freely be able to follow the people they want to follow, with no limit. So no support.

Like many other people said, I think there should just be a limit per day

I don’t see the problem that this would be solving. I don’t really see the harm that follow everybody accounts would be doing, and what if somebody is a very active, veteran scratcher, that has made a lot of friends on the site. I could see several people going over the 1000 limit and it would be kind of lame if you couldn’t follow anymore people.

very true. i would hate to have to unfollow some people just because I wanted to follow somebody else. I don’t see the problem that this would be solving. The 10k follower limit doesn't seem to be preventing follow everyone accounts, so I agree we should lower it.
If you just follow a load of people, that makes following pointless

No support.
And anyways, the limit is already 10 thousand. I think that's pretty good.
None of these things hurt anybody. -Stop Follow-Everybody accounts

-Have less F4F but it isn't completely banned

True. Like 10000 followers is enough for the limit. So why make it 10 times less? No support. Let people do what they want.

For a following limit 1000 is way too low. I don't see any problem with the current system as it already discourages follow-everyone accounts.

There is a limit, it's just very high. And following everyone accounts don't break the community guidelines.

No, some, such as I, don’t want follows. Some of us (including me) just want to know what happens when you reach 10k (the limit).
I know it’s weird to do, but it’s kinda like a speedrun to get 10k, for fun. If that’s my kind of fun, why stop it?
No support, I don’t feel like policing people is a good thing.
