Forum post hearting
Maybe, it could just be a button that says thank you or something like that, not surethen instead of having the thing be a heart, have it be something meaninglessThats the same idea about hearts and favorites though, but people still obsess over itThis is turning into an echo chamber, No support.
The forums are for discussion, not fame.
Tons of people have already said this and all of them have had the same reply being something like:
But the thing is, hearts unlike other things would have no effect, it’s merely just a way to see how many people agree with something
It’s not like there would be anything that effects a post depending on hearts or not

I was techinically thinking of something like literally just a square or cirlce, but that would work too IF it would be different between the forums snip-
Maybe, it could just be a button that says thank you or something like that, not sure
like on the HwS forums it could be like a “this helped”, on the QaS it could be a “Thanks!” or a “I see”, on the Suggestions forums it could be a “Makes sense”.
and since this would simply be a marking, why should this be limited to one? there could very much be multiple of these to replace short answers that would be a waste to actually make a post for. For example, a “please explain” would be nice.
However, that really depends, since if ST isn't able to implement different buttons for each forum, it would be confusing, “thank you” on the suggestions forum wouldn't make sense, neither would “support” on the QaS forum, which is why I believe if it had to be unified, it should be a completely irrelevant polygon (TRIANGLES BECAUSE THEY ARE SUPERIORRRRRR), since that way, forumers can give it their own meaning

Would you add this to your Siggy? This would be a good alternative to ocular reactions, as I'm pretty sure not a lot of people know what ocular is, and ocular might be blocked for some people. Support.

Support, an easy way to say “I agree” without creating a whole new post that doesn't add anything to the discussion.

I am making a mock-up for the Please Explain ideaI was techinically thinking of something like literally just a square or cirlce, but that would work too IF it would be different between the forums snip-

???And maybe you wont be allowed to ask for heartsJust like the words in the filterbot, hearting messages can have a lot off workarounds. Pretty sure most forumers here know the forum etiquette and won't do that, and if done, will be frowned upon
Um, if you use a like this image it will filter it as well by: it may have like in the filename, it will detect text and images to see if it is a like this image plus this will not trigger it only on this suggestion url for the OP because it is just a suggestion

Why would you not be allowed to ask for hearts? You can do that in projects. How would the filter know context anyway?

Reread the OP. This has nothing to do with seeing new posts and only notifies you that your post was helpful, constructive, etc. cant it already tell u when theres a new post when u follow the discussion tho?
Notifications about hearted posts would only be able to be about your own posts, which means it would be unable to tell you about unread/new posts.
