Move the stage to the left - read description
https://github.com/LLK/scratch-gui/issues/8752 (it's me)
Why? Because it's more ergonomic.

The area the user needs to focus on is in a red border, and in the second image (stage on the left), the panes are more closely packed together, which means less eye movement, which is good.

Not everyone shares the same preferences (unless this is an option)

It could be optional, but please read the OP on why I think this is more than a preference. Not everyone shares the same preferences (unless this is an option)

(#4)Yes. But why do we need to go to a different site to just get it there?
Pretty sure you can enable this in turbowarp!

As an option (like everyone else has said) support, this was already in scratch 2.0, and there was probably a reason why 3.0 changed it, but this should've been something already in 3.0 as well.

Im down for making it a button, afaik scratch 2.0 had it on the left (then again its been a while since ive booted up the 2.0 offline editor…)
Of course, this should definitely be optional, we don't want riots in the streets over the stage being on the left lol
One concern is, this may be kind of tricky to implement….

“It’s more ergonomic” is not a valid argument..
Why?
I’m left handed
Scratch is supposed to be fore everyone and having the blocks on the left caters to both left and right handed people, having it on the right only caters to right handed people
The blocks being in the center of the screen makes it so you need to reach farther with both hands than just normally too
And “less eye movement” is also not a valid argument, you are supposed to focus on the coding area when coding and the stage when testing, there’s almost no situation where you need to look at both of them, and if you need to just move your eyes so one is on the stage and the other is on the block palette, we have 2 independently moving eyes for a reason

Coming from a lefty, an option to switch it to the right side would be something i would use a lot. “It’s more ergonomic” is not a valid argument..
