Those aren't really conspiracy theories, however, they're just superstitious. Most conspiracy theories are meant to be plausible in some way or another.

scientists are actually studying that theory though

So instead of the Matrix being constructed from sentient machines, they come from our descendants using it to study the past.

That's an interesting idea, but if they're able to do something like that, why cant they have built a time machine and just studied us that way?
Computers do exist, and they can be programmed with AI now that is fairly simple. That would probably be expanded in the future.

(I'm assuming you've seen The Matrix when writing this)

Yeah but said “computer” would have to be extremely highly advanced in order to process a human's neurological functions and interpret within its virtual environment. Also, it needs to create a believable enough world and actually simultaneously feed information into our brains as we feed information into its brain. Technically its not really an AI in the first place since its largely populated by external operators. These operators are humans.

And if this Matrix theory is true, then would that mean that we actually control most of it ourselves? Like, in the sense of construction? We build buildings and we destroy things too. But then raises the question, is it us actually manipulating the computer world directly with our own physical, or in this case mental, actions, or do we just think it, and the computer carries it out for us by responding to these thoughts?

And the computer would also have to implant and instill the notion in our minds that the computer is, by all means, the real world to make the experiment seem much more authentic.

Unless we're talking about aliens who are doing all this instead of us in the future. Aliens can do anything.

Still though, our brains rewrite themselves completely, so if we did live in the matrix, why wouldn't we be able to constantly rewrite it?

And I think the only reason that we'd think it's the real world is that we'd never seen a higher world.

Maybe we did live in a real world before this, but then all memory of that world is now lost, due to either the generations living in the matrix gradually forgetting, or the memory wiped out altogether from the very beginning.

I believe ALL moon landings were faked. There's a crater on the moon that looks EXACTLY like one in Nevada.
did you go there? have you been to the nevada desert before? because in pretty much all the pictures you see, there are plants and/or water erosion, and it's like that in real life too. if you look at a good picture of a crater on earth, there are extremely obvious parts on the side that show where runoff (from rain, because, you know, it does rain in the desert sometimes) went into the meteor. it's pretty obviously not anything like the pictures of the moon. also, I'm pretty sure there's been more than one crater shown on the moon.

Time machines won't exist. Time is only a perception. Time can feel to go by faster or slower, depending on what our mind's doing. But time cannot skip or reverse. It will keep going at a constant rate. Imagine if you went back in time to stop yourself from being born. What would happen to you? Would you simply cease to exist, or would you keep existing because now you can't go back in time to stop yourself from being born? There's no solution, so it's not possible. You can't undo anything.

I really don't understand these arguments. Paradoxes don't stop time travel from happening, they're just a problem that could happen if it does exist. There could possibly be a solution though, but we do not know it yet. For example, if you did that, maybe it could cause a break in time, resetting the events that you did in the first place, therefore NEVER stopping yourself from being born.

And what if we're being tricked by the government that the government has a debt and they're trying to torture us by purposely making the economy bad. And politicians are not real. They are robots, and the voting is not actually real.

This.

We could be controlled by aliens right now. Every thought, including this one, can come from aliens. Why would aliens allow this thought, then? Maybe to dissuade us from believing we're controlled by aliens.

This.
.
That's going into theory there.
It says time travel into the past isn't real because the past isn't recorded.
But how do we know that? Have we proven that?

It also talks about how you can't speed up time and travel into the future. That's been proven wrong, if you move extremely fast, time slows down for you.

Also, time isn't necessarily NOT real. It could be that time is a thing that moves on, but your brain pauses at different rates, having you find it slower or faster than it actually is.

Another thing about time travel: if you time travel from the present (Point A) into the future (Point B), don't expect for you to run into your “future self”. There will be no future self because since you disappeared from the present, you will stop existing in the time period between Point A and Point B, and you will reappear at Point B.

Yeah. That only works in the past. UNLESS you travel into the future and travel BACK into the past. Then you would be able to meet your future self.

Yeah. That only works in the past. UNLESS you travel into the future and travel BACK into the past. Then you would be able to meet your future self.
But if you travel back into the past/present, you basically reappear there, meaning that your future self will theoretically exist, but you would not be able to meet him since you're in the present, unless he comes to the present from the future.

So the basic thing is that you cannot go to your future self, your future self has to come to you.

Conspiracy Theories

With the “MOON LANDING ARE FAEK” conspiracies, apparently NASA did shoot some pictures in a studio. This was incase something went wrong - they still had “images” to back up them. Over time, these leaked into the rest of the true images and the theorists go for them, ignoring the other ones.

My favorite conspiracy theory is from my history teacher. He thinks one of the moon landings was staged. He showed us a picture of a rover, but it had no tracks behind it.
