Slightly, as Does Silcon chip effect Safari?Chrome apparently runs faster than safari on the new macs. But that may have been biased by either Google or Apple. I suppose only time will tell…

They mean “Apple Silicon” Why apple? How does Silcon relate with Safari?
Silicon is an element and can't be made by Apple, whereas “Apple Silicon” is referred to SoCs made by Apple for their devices. They are both made by apple.

No they don't. In fact, they attempt to give me 18+ ads which are hard to stop. You will always get ads, but not all of them will be relavent and/or age-appropriate to you, but google spies tracks you to estimate your age and to protect you from those bad ones. Let's not talk about DuckDuckGo now, though that is a search engineWhat does floc even do?Should I if the only device I have is a school Chromebook? Also, I'm pretty sure they do that for a good reason, and they don't lie about it unlike the DuckDuckGo search engine.isnt floc bad and just helps google do targeting? Chrome,
Did you know that it has FLoC? It is being tested
it allows to track across sites, stores info in the browser, does some algorithm and gives it to websites doesnt it?
It is. I stopped using chrome. If you do use it exit chrome now
You can't. But you can turn of FLoC
Also, I meant how should I
FLoC groups you with many people and advertise at you
I'll just edit how to turn it off

DuckDuckGo worked with Microsloth to collect info. The reason so many people discourage the use of Chrome and Google, and encourage the use of Firefox and DuckDuckGo is because they aren't constantly collecting your data, specifically your personal data, and above all have never shown any reason why we should not trust them.
What those people want everyone to see is that we prioritize speed and convenience. I mean, why should I use Linux, Firefox, And DuckDuckGo? Google provides a great experience, where I have a free email service, free, limited, cloud storage, a photo storage app, a school program, a full suite of office programs, so on so forth. All with one account. All from your Chromebook, to your Android phone. We're all very oriented on this ease, on speed. Even now we're impatient when a page takes 5 seconds to load, or when our computer doesn't startup within 20 seconds, when I'm sure our parents can tell us all about the load times back when they were young adults, and how they had to choose between either having their phone work, or have internet access.
It's your choice.

Has anyone here actually used Catalyst by @MagicCrayon9342 ? Is it a viable replacement for Google Chrome?

In terms of loading web pages etc, it's Chrome. The only difference between IT and Chrome is the interface and it's features. The UX is designed for and rendered by the Chromium engine. And the webviews are interacted with by the interface. Thought it may have slightly less overhead due to the minimal nature of the program, it's still Chromium. It'll use up to 7x less ram than Chrome in some cases. If you want to use Catalyst, go ahead. However, back to your question of if its a viable replacement. If you want a download manager, password manager, and the like. Then no, but if you want a minimal somewhat light weight interface go right on ahead! Has anyone here actually used Catalyst by @MagicCrayon9342 ? Is it a viable replacement for Google Chrome?

The lightweight RAM usage sounds nice! I'll see if I can try it out.In terms of loading web pages etc, it's Chrome. The only difference between IT and Chrome is the interface and it's features.
