It's actually the opposite. With a high tolerance, you can click on an area of color and it will fill that area and areas containing somewhat similar colors. As you lower the tolerance, it will only fill colors closer to the one you clicked on, and at 0% tolerance it will only fill the area with the exact same color as the one you clicked on.

Support! Tolerance is a big part of most major drawing platforms I've seen, and I've used quite a few. Plus it would rid of those annoying white spaces you get when trying to color in a drawing

yes this needs to be added asap please scratch add a tolerance option to the paint bucket it will make things much more easier

Support. This has caused me issues in the past with importing costumes. Then the background may be a slightly different shade throughout it. This could be solved by being able to fill in the background with nothing.

As someone who used to use the Scratch paint editor to remove backgrounds from my sprites before I knew any other alternative, I know how much of a pita that can be. There should be an option for continuous/global fill ideally as well, where either only pixels in a single area are filled, or all pixels that are below the threshold in the image are filled. I think this can also apply to vector objects as well, with similar colored objects being changed.

i completely support this. Im making a project, a high tolerance fill tool would be extremely helpful.

This is a great idea! If other paint tools have fill tolerance, then why not Scratch?
This would be handy for artists wanting to remove backgrounds in Scratch faster than using the regular fill tool.
Another good idea, left alone, at the risk of someone necroposting.

I can agree that not having the ability to do this is annoying. Scratch's bitmap fill tool is basically like MS Paint's, albeit a bit worse. Maybe you could also type in the percentage of the tolerance instead of dragging to circle, too…

Bumpe, and support. This would make the bucket so much better, because you'd be able to customize how much similarity there must be in order for a color to be filled, and if you make a mistake you can undo. It's simply tedious when I realize a costume I imported or created has slightly different colors in certain places and I have to repeatedly use the bucket tool.

I agree. Tolerance should be a part of Scratch paint bucket.
