Nice idea! But you could enter someone else’s code and cheat.
That’s true, but you could always do that, even before this forum was created (these kinds of topics were often made in Show and Tell).
Wait. Is that Scratch Team approved

Oops! I did it again! I got the king of the page lol

Wow, I didn't know scratch was actually gonna make another forum! Anyways, this is pretty cool, and useful. I'm glad we have a better way to share our things.

I'm glad we have a dedicated place for this now, and it's much more obvious where to put/find them too!

Some Scratchers make projects with features that produce design codes (platform levels, art designs, etc.) or save codes (progress through a game) that the project user can enter into the project. This is one place to store those things. The forums work well for data storage since a forum post can hold a lot of text - and projects like that use long strings of text to hold all the information.

If you would like to learn how to make a data saving feature for your project, check out this Scratch Wiki article or this video from Griffpatch.

A note to folks that want to use this space for storing data for their Scratch projects - it's a good idea to include a description of your project and a link to it in your first post so that others that might happen upon your data storage topic can find your project.

The first post is also a good place to explain any formatting styles you would like to see used. Putting long codes in code tags

is a good way to keep things tidy as it hides most of the code but still makes it easy to copy and paste. Take a look at the example below:

I like that you encourage people to put codes in

tags. I always do that.
