2. It is if you're on a slow device. Even if you aren't on a slow device, it would help be a constant reminder of whatever is in someone's about me. You may forget it and need to skim it often to remember some stuff about them.

Which is a way this suggestion would help! You see, if the about me was loaded on the page already, then you wouldn't have to bother trying to open a new tab, and could hover over the icon to see their about me.

It’s not helpful though. Go and tell me it’s helpful for those on slow devices. With all these buttons, it will be slower to open up pages on Scratch which defeats your purpose.
And hover?? Do you understand how annoying that could be? Hovering over a question mark by accident and a thing pops up? Just no.

I still don't think it would slow it down more than opening up a new tab.

Well you're the one that keeps saying this will save a click…

Ok, ok, ok. Everyone, please read this. We acknowledge the question of ‘Is it necessary?’ and we acknowledge that there are arguments for both sides. Please, before you make another post about it, think: are there any other problems you want to point out? This discussion is going around in circles, and it seems to me that this topic could soon get closed. We can consider the problem unresolved for now, but please try to think of something else to talk about.

So, should this (?) be activated by you hovering over it or a click on it?

I was thinking click because of the interface issues that Za-Chary mentioned earlier (how if it was hover, accidentally hovering would be annoying to get off)

It could be hover, but take a little bit of time to appear or something. So, if you're scrolling past it it won't detect it.

Possibly. I feel like in that case, click would be faster anyway, though.

Hovering would be annoying because every five seconds another about me would appear.

A new problem: How many people would use this thing if it was implemented rather than just clicking the profile? A lot of users are already used to clicking the profile so adding this in would be confusing.

Seems overly complicated.

This isn't a new probelm…….

Yeah, definitely. A click is way faster and more deliberate than hovering. (well, not faster than hovering, but fast enough)

Look, I’m going to be honest, this suggestion makes no sense. It has no purpose. You say it’s to encourage people to read the about me, they already can. You say it will decrease lag, it will cause more. You say it will help those with a lot of tabs, it doesn’t.

I don’t get why you think this would be added to basically use a click for the same purpose.

It's not? about 2 - 5 people have said the exact thing as you.

Even if it’s not new, I personally think that this should be brought up.

Okay guys this topic is turning into a debate over whether this is necessary or not. Let's not start unnecessary arguments over these things.

I did read it. I would like this argument to be resolved as it is kind of important.

Could we just leave it as unresolved for now? We're honestly going in circles.

So, would you be able to scroll with the scroll bar using the scroll wheel or do you need to drag the scroll bar to scroll? Or either?
