Can I say "fudge" as a replacement for... you know.
I agree. (THIS IS ONLY POST AFTER 6 DAYS, THIS IS NOT NECROPOSTING.)How is “heck” or “flip” any more mild than “fudge”? What is this argument? You don't NEED to say fudge as a substitute for that word. Instead, just stick to mild language. Besides, there are young kids on the site. THERE IS NO NEED TO SAY FUDGE.

i think fudge in that context will lead to some interesting google searchesWhere did you get this idea? Isn't “heck” a word to be used in replacement of more vulgar language? The Scratch Team doesn't censor comments like “What the heck.” If I said “Oh, apples” to express disappointment/worry in place of more vulgar language, I don't think I would get an alert for that. Saying that word in replacement to the f-bomb is not allowed because it's still the same context.
urban dictionary i bet will be the first thing to come up
i just use fuzzy pickles

Who's to say that “fudge” (or, likewise, “apples”) is not being used in place of “hell”? Note that “heck” also shares a couple of letters with the infamous “f-bomb” — I imagine some people use “heck” as a replacement for that “f-bomb” all the time (I sure do!). But when someone says “What the heck,” there is no indication of which word they are using “heck” to replace it with. Heck is another way to say hell, which is allowed on Scratch.
“fudge” ‘s exact purpose was 2 replace f-bomb. Saying “fudge” aloud could easily be misheard as ((((( *BLEEP* ))))) but saying “heck” wouldn’t. I hope U understand now.
Yes, but it is in text, and is not being said aloud.

that said you will see it in real life
i've been in waitroses (british supermarket) many times and have seen a brand of sausages called “heck”, “flavour you can swear by”, if it's in common supermarkets not entirely out of the view of young children then i have no clue
the scgs are too fuzzy in a fair few scenarios

that’s literally what I saidBut I think that has to do more with the uses of the words anyway rather than the actual words themselves. It's like how the word “gun” is allowed but saying “Imma pull out a gun and kill you” is bad. sure. fudge is great just dont sayFUDGE YOu!!!!!!!!!!!1!1!why did i do that
otherwise you get a warn or a ban. its really the same logic as not sayinggo to heckno one here deserves to go to heck this is just an example DONT BAN MEeEeEeE

misinformation its main 2 uses was to replace the f bomb and to be chocolate but yummier. Do not use it as a replacement for bad words. Using it in other ways like “Fudge is very yummy!” is allowed though.

I recommend not saying any alternatives, as you could get reported.
If a user’s comment is mean, don’t get too angry and take revenge on that user. Report the user’s comment. If you don’t like the user’s project, ignore it. Just don’t say anything that has a bad meaning. Be nice, and Scratch on!

But it’s not a reportable offense so that’s on them! I recommend not saying any alternatives, as you could get reported.
But that doesn’t have much to do with the word fudge itself, just the context, like if I were to say “You’re a really really fudging dumb user” that’s still reportable even if you take away the “fudging” If a user’s comment is mean, don’t get too angry and take revenge on that user. Yes, it has to do with the But that doesn’t have much to do with the word fudge itself, just the context, like if I were to say “You’re a really really fudging dumb user” that’s still reportable even if you take away the “fudging”meaning of the use. If you encounter a “5 Random Facts About (username)” project and you want to tell the user you like fudge, it’s okay, and don’t be afraid to do it. But when you are using it as a replacement like “shampoo” in “I’m throwing shampoo at your project”, that’s not okay, and you should report it. An even more reportable case is when “fudge” is used along with negative words such as “dislike” or “worst”.

Ah fudge, I guess that means that I can't complain about messing up a puzzle for the thirtieth time nor can I express the fact that I forgot to get coffee. Speaking of which, I need to fudging get off my butt and make some coffee.Yes, it has to do with the But that doesn’t have much to do with the word fudge itself, just the context, like if I were to say “You’re a really really fudging dumb user” that’s still reportable even if you take away the “fudging”meaning of the use. Using “fudge” as a replacement for the actual swear is completely fine, provided the comment would not otherwise break the guidelines.

To be fair, it would make for some very very funny jokes! There are plenty of uses, but humor is especially useful here just why

If you say No, sharing your dislikes about things are allowed, just not disrespectful.
I think you should stop inviting me to ____ studios, I am not interested in ____.it may be allowed. But if it is rude like “PLEASE STOP INVITING ME TO ___ STUDIOS! I THINK STUDIOS ARE (strong word or swear alternative)! (Strong word or swear alternative) you!” this is not allowed.
The point is how and where you express it. For example, if you want to ask a user to check out your project, you should do it in the “Show And Tell” forums, with nice language like “Please check out my new science game, Particle Physics Tycoon/Platformer Game!”, and not force people to play it or use rude language when responding to suggestions. If someone replies rudely, do not express your rage on them, and report the comment. The Scratch Team will know and do the right thing.

“I like Cadbury Fudges” is good. “What the fudge?!” is bad.
