Confirming "Share"
Hello. You forgot a period at the end of your sentence. When posting on the internet, please use correct punctuation. It makes it easier for people to read your posts. Thanks. Support as long as they add a settings button to enable and disable it for people who don't want it

This isn't a school. Not everyone on the internet is going to be like this. Even 4chan doesn't always do that.Hello. You forgot a period at the end of your sentence. Of course Scratch has to do with school, but not everyone is expected to be part of a school when they join Scratch.

Confirming "Share"
Doesn't required Sometimes, when I am working on a project that isn't complete yet, I accidentally press the button “Share”.
When a user presses the button “Share”, have them confirm it. That way users don't unintentionally share their project as easily.
To my knowledge, this would be fairly simple for the Scratch Team to implement.
Additional Notes
Why not just unshare the project immediately?
There still would be a notice on “What I've been doing” stating that the user shared that project. It would also appear on the “Recently Shared” section located on the front page. Answer by Dreamo and Prinseskat
This feature could be annoying to some scratchers. Thank you for pointing this out, PrincessPandaLover!
Possible Solution: Scratchers could change whether or not they wish to have it. This setting could be changed on the “My Stuff” (or “Account Settings”) page. By default, it would be set to yes.

Support. Also, the ‘recently shared projects’ section on the front page no longer exists.

Support, in case a famous Scratcher (or anyone) clicks “share” by accident, there won't be any confusion to their followers if the creator unshares the project, and their followers click the link in the “what's happening” section, only to find it is unshared. I think there should also be a confirmation for unsharing projects, because resharing it will give it a new publication date, which can be very confusing to others who viewed the project before.

Because it's next to the See Inside button, I know someone who always accidentally shares the project instead of going inside it. I'm always afraid that I will accidentally share a project so I would really appreciate this feature! A confirmation would not be that hard to implement.
One of the only points made against this is that it might annoy some people. If all it takes is having to click on one extra button to annoy someone, I don't think the conformation button is the problem here. I don't even see a need for the confirmation to be optional, since it does not really affect anyone.

Support bump
Can you explain why you support? Just saying support is extremely unconstructive and it doesn't increase the chances of it being added.

Why not just unshare the project immediately? What does it matter anyways? If they click on it they cant view it.

aaaaaa you spelled it wrong… Anyway I do think this would be pretty helpful because in my personal opinion you're not going to want to share a project immediately after hitting the button, so the confirmation would help. tbh, I don't really click the “Share” button when I'm not done with the project btw mockup:

Why not just unshare the project immediately? You should love/unlove and favorite/unfavorite your projects enough to flush out this activity from your wiwo and the “What's Happening?”

page.
It would also appear on the “Recently Shared” section located on the front page.
Change the thumbnail as to not give away spoilers or attract attention. You may also want to “save as a copy” and delete the original so it can't be viewed through turbowarp (yes I know projects won't be viewable on that anymore soon but it's possible as of now.)
