Make Zetta the new Mascot of Scratch!
Zetta is literally a metric prefix. It cannot be copyrighted.Still, if it’s even possible scratch could face legal issues, this wouldn’t be implemented. Plus, I’m sure that’s what the person who shared the Pac-Man project thought too. I don't think a watchmaker would sue Scratch…

Well yes, but I’m just saying. In this case, Zetta is being used as a name, or a proper noun, not as a metric prefix. So, this would likely still be copyrightable in the context of the use.Zetta is literally a metric prefix. Make Zetta the new Mascot of Scratch!
I'm bringing this up again - considering the UK users of Scratch make up a significant amount of people, I doubt this could be implemented if Scratch could face a valid legal issue here. I don't see a need for a change in mascot… Scratchcat is a relatively familiar character and I think a change would likely confuse new Scratchers. We don't need to rebrand for the sake of rebranding.
Also, I can find the name registered with with the UK copyright office for capabilities including those of Scratch (in association with video games and game-making, one registered for computer programming, and others with general online services).

you could choose another name:
(this means it cannot be used, with the reason after it (like this) and this means it is available)
yocto
zepto
atto
femto
pico (already is a mascot)
nano (already is a mascot)
micro
milli
centi
deci
deca
hecto
kilo
mega
giga (is already a mascot)
tera (is already a mascot)
peta
exa
zetta (watch company goes brrrr (i know thats not funny now))
yotta
overall it looks good but maybe it could be drawn better (not saying this is bad, the current is good)

When you say the new mascot, it sounds like Zetta is supposed to replace Scratch Cat. Is that what you meant?
I don't know why so many people have suggested more mascots. Isn't 6 enough? Do most organizations have more than 6 mascots, with a need for more? I just don't see why this is important enough to warrant so many suggestions.

Well, theres no way this will happen then. Scratch cat is an iconic mascot, and replacing him would make scratch feel like a whole different site.the new mascot, it sounds like Zetta is supposed to replace Scratch Cat. Is that what you meant?Yes that’s what I meant When you say

No support. Rebranding Scratch just to rebrand Scratch is unnecessary and would waste time, resources, and money, because the copyright holders of this design would most likely sue if they found out that the largest coding platform in the world was using their design. Plus, Scratch Cat is already a known mascot and changing it would just make people confused.

sue if they found out that the largest coding platform in the world was using their design. It isn’t the mascot design that is copyrighted, it is the name “Zetta,” which is the name of a watch making company. the copyright holders of this design would most likely
the ST using a name that they've used.It seems like it's already taken by a watch maker. As we know from events that have happened before, companies don't generally take to kindly to
I agree with this point. I think adding Zetta might be acceptable, but having them replace Scratch Cat would simply not happen. Plus, Scratch Cat is already a known mascot and changing it would just make people confused.
