So we all know that feeling, when you see a topic without a name, it’s really annoying. People shouldn’t be able to basically make the topic name unclickable. In most forums, having a title that helps the user understand what the post is about is encouraged, and allowing people to have no title won’t help with anything. When you try to post a topic without a name, an error message would appear, saying “Sorry, you cannot name your topic that.”

Is there not a safeguard in place for this already? I wonder if it would let you edit your title to plain nothing. If topic titles were optional, I feel like I'd be seeing way more no-title topics than I currently am.

Now, I have seen them before, and I think that's the result of typing in some sort of space character (I don't know the technical unicode name for such a character). So maybe the suggestion is more along the lines of “Don't allow users to make topic titles with that character” — but maybe that's a different suggestion.

I support this! I feel like it might help a little with spam topics.

This is something I agree with because once, I saw a topic that didn't have a title, and the only way to see inside the topic was by clicking the link that directs you to the recent post made on that topic.
I think this should (or would) also count if the user made the entire topic name unsupported characters or emojis.

Full support because I find those inclinable topics really annoying.

support and also it should check for whitespace characters (ZWNJ, hair space, blank braille, em space, ZWS, thin space, ideographic space, en space, six-per-em, normal space, you get the point)

It's called a zero-width space.

I personally have never come across this, But until the zero-width space gets fixed, if you really wanted to see the topic, just click on the latest post link to the right of the topic.

You could click the name and try to go to the last point that way.
