Introduction

(skip if you know about the game already)
In Paper.io, draw a line by moving your character around to add a piece of paper to your territory – it will be automatically captured and painted into your color as soon as the line is finished. The enemies will try to do the same, but you can counter-attack by breaking their lines before they are completed – doing so will also destroy the unlucky opponent. Be careful not to fall into the same trap: always try to stay close to your paper lands.

Here you can discuss your high scores, strategies, techniques (and also just fun)!

Strategies/Techniques

1. Try to stay close to the edge of the map. That way, it will be easier for you to capture more territory.

Ham19-01-2011 wrote:

2. Don't venture out too far: you could get killed.

Ham19-01-2011 wrote:

3. At the same time, don't move in tiny inches. That is not going to get you anywhere.

4. In World Conflict, aim for the capitals of other players, instead of their tail.

5. In World Map, go for cities as they auto-produce income for you.

In World Conflict, when you become large, try to keep your capital in the centre.

I've recently started playing paper.io 2. It's pretty fun. I don't really have any techniques yet.
Apparently, you're always just playing against bots, which is weird because it feels like you aren't.

Yeah. I've been playing for quite a while and I just read that they were bots. I was really shocked: they feel so… realistic!

I presume they get the names from real players because they seem too random.
My high score for World Conflict is 185, the others are really low because I was playing on a different device before.

My world conflict high score is 1315. Hmmm…. maybe I should add a world conflict and teams leaderboard…

Edit: Done!

One thing I tend to do in world conflict is to aim for the capitals of other players. All of the points a player receives the leaderboard ends on their capital in World Conflict. So when you are able to capture it, you gain ALL their points. When you kill them with passing their trail while exposed, the amount halves or splits into about 1/6 of their income. Also, on world map, you always want to aim for cities, because they auto produce income for you, rather than having to do too much hard work. So you can add those as tips.

Yes, that is what I try in World Conflict too. That is almost the sole source of my points. I do not usually frequent World Map though but I still try to capture cities.

Also, one more thing to add. When you have a large amount of land out of the total map, always try to keep your capital in the middle of your captured area.
