A help for those who want to make a thumbnail for their game, but don't know how to make the thumbnail elements disappear when the game starts:

Select all or the element you want to disappear when the game starts and apply that code to it.

Hope this helps

4. Do it for YOU!

What's the point of being famous for something you don't even like doing? There isn't any! Make sure that you're making projects that YOU enjoy making, NOT because it's trendy and you think playing along with what other scratchers are doing too will get you popular. Although, if what you wanna do just happens to be the same as the trend, go for it anyway! Do it for YOURSELF, not for anyone else. Ultimately, following your own passions will get you far further and far happier. And Scratch is about learning, but it's also about fun!

I absolutely agree! Thanks for the great tips, they're really helpful!

1) Huge effort for amount of time and difficulty making scripts. Effectively no creativity by myself though. Definitely gave it my all for trying hard with code.

2) I've not tried to do this before, I probably should.

3) I think the thumbnail should be good.

4) I enjoy programming, yes.

Yes, this guide is helpful. Will follow second step from now. Thanks!

Why do I make great stuff but my “great stuff” doesn't become famous?

I put in effort in all my projects and only get 10-20 views each and about 3-5 likes

One thing about the trending and popular section: When it’s a platformer, I usually keep seeing the same black square that has an eye on it! This gets quite annoying, and I don’t like the repetition of it.

Okay, there is one way to get recognized that never fails. Never stop posting. Simple, right? I didn't really read anything in this thread before I started this post, so somebody may have already advised this, but if you keep on posting comments, starting threads, and pubishing projects, eventually, you'll become recognized. If you really want a piece of the action, look out for studio invites. Plus, try to keep a wide range of themes. Remember, though, you don't have to make projects you don't want to make! Do you, and somebody will eventually follow you!
