A new way to report users [An option to report users for ban evading]
There should be a new radio button for “This user is evading a ban”. There is almost no way to do this except for Contact Us, which can be a pain. I've seen a lot of people say “when I get banned, I'll go to _____RISES” or freely talking about evading a ban with another account.
And that's it.
And that's it.

Yep. This annoys me too when people make _Rises accounts and acknowledge that they're going to get banned. They seem to know they break the rules. I even made a thread about it.

Since it is a common misbehavior among bad users, I support.

Well can't you just report the forum post or the comment? And honestly using ‘Contact Us’ doesn't take long. If you're competent enough to spot someone using a new account, you are capable of taking 5 seconds to use the form

I reported the comment once, and I got an alert that said to not report things like that, and to send them an email. Well can't you just report the forum post or the comment? And honestly using ‘Contact Us’ doesn't take long. If you're competent enough to spot someone using a new account, you are capable of taking 5 seconds to use the form
As for the second statement, it does. First you have to explain why you're reporting, give a link to the user, and it takes a long time to do that to me. Also - don't have a rude tone in your posts. “you are capable of taking 5 seconds to use the form” doesn't sound very friendly.

Saying you're competent to do something is rude? I don't know why you always assume I'm trying to be harsh or something. But saying not to report things like that is a bit strange. What else is the report system for? If you don't report comments of someone saying they're evading bans on a new account, it might give more impressionable people the idea that it's okay to evade bans. Also I never claimed that I didn't support the ideaI reported the comment once, and I got an alert that said to not report things like that, and to send them an email. This thread is not for reporting comments, though. It's for reporting users who explicitly say that they evaded a ban. And I never had assumed you're trying to be harsh. I was just saying that your post sounded a bit in a rude tone.Saying you're competent to do something is rude? I don't know why you always assume I'm trying to be harsh or something. Reporting would be the easiest way to do this though, it's exactly what you're asking for and it's a system already in place. So the question is why does the scratch team discourage the use of it when the alternative (contact us) is more difficult to use, and people evading bans might not be reported if the person reporting finds it too much of a hassle…

I have no idea what any of that means. The point I have, though, is that this happens very often and it would be Reporting would be the easiest way to do this though, it's exactly what you're asking for and it's a system already in place. I mean you should talk to the scratch team because they should definitely be handling these kinds of things and reporting is the easiest way to communicate with them. If they have a problem with it, then they should explain why. It makes no sense to not use reporting for this type of thing.I have no idea what any of that means. @Detriment
The 5 seconds it takes to fill out the form? Nope. For me, it takes 121 years.
I don't use my email for Scratch. However, I see tons and tons of users who are evading bans. Probably could report one a day if there was this form.
Besides, the ST isn't exactly known for replying to their emails quickly.
