Hello, i want Scratch to be translated to a language called Inupiaq (Iñupiatun), which is a language native to Northern Alaska, we would use these useful Inupiaq dictionaries while we are translating Scratch to the Inupiaq language:

@whyyoulookingme, for a language to get added to Scratch we need people to translate and review a minimum of 4000+ words, and upwards of 20,000 words to be fully translated. Adding a language to Scratch requires a community of volunteers who will work together to translate and review each other's translations. Note, people need to be over 18 to contribute to translation on the Scratch translation platform Transifex.

Only 4000 people speak Inupiaq, and I’m sure much less use internet - is this really worth it?

@han614698 that's why it depends on having a community of volunteer translators. If there was a group of Inupiaq educators, who were all interested in using Scratch with their students and keeping it translated, Scratch can make it possible. But Scratch isn't going to translate into a language if there isn't a demand from the community that speaks it.

The point isn't how many people speak it, the point is what it means to those who do to have resources available in their language
