Censor the phrases 'Girls Only' and 'Boys Only'

I have seen people make studios with such names. Censor their impersonations and translations as well. Such studios are against the Community Guidelines because they don't allow one gender in the studio. The number is increasing.

I would just report it. Also, what if someone makes a studio or project discouraging these kinds of studios or projects, and mentions the phrase?

I get your point, but kids (particularly younger ones) have been making girls and boys only clubs since “play” was invented. As long as they’re not being rude, I would just ignore them.

You can just report them of course if the content breaks the Community Guidelines. So, no support to this.

No support, as others have said, you can just report it if you think they are being rude. That's why the report button is there! Yes, I'm still upset about the take down of “Blacklist Shut Up” my best suggestion.

Technically, those studios/projects/etc can just be reported for being discriminatory.

I don't really see why this is getting so much backlash. Yes, you can report it, but it takes time to remove and also eats up scratch teams time and recoruses. Censoring it (changing filter bot is really easy by the way) would stop this from happening, and makes scratch a bit more of a welcoming place.

Scratch also doesn't want these studios on scratch. When I search up girls only studios, the 2nd one, 5th one, 9th one and 11th one have [removed] in the titles when you click on them.

No such projects or studios need to be created if it wasn't allowed on scratch.

No support. 1. You can Just report it and 2. Maybe the studios are for projects that only that gender will like? Like the girls make their kind of projects and the boys make their kind of projects. I honestly don’t see a problem as long as they don’t complain if a girl/boy does comment or go in. Honestly, there is no stopping having the other gender go in, so censoring that would be useless.

Also won’t those studios still exist? All the people have to do is click a-de studio button, click a-de title, and type-a something like, “not females only”. All it does is censor it, but the studios still exist.

Please just edit your first post instead of making new ones.

Honestly i don't support this. You could just report the studio- and the phrases “girls/boys only” can be used in other contexts, like- “It was a girl's only volleyball team.” or smth since things are sometimes gender-divided irl

No support, most of these studios are harmless. It’s not really discriminating unless it breaks the Community Guidelines, which a lot of them don’t. If you see one that breaks the guidelines, just report it.

If it was censored it wouldn't matter because the studios or projects wouldn't exist in the first place.

Scratch doesn't like it when I type, so I'm going to keep this quick. Scratchers can't see what's on the filter or not, so if this gets censored, people may try to create studios or projects saying not to do this, or maybe make a comment saying something along these lines, but not actually in a disrespectful way, such as “it sounds like you're trying to make this girls only”. They would get warned, muted, or whatever else, despite the context of the comment being completely fine. The filterbot cannot detect context, which makes censoring things like this a bad idea.

Whitelist all of the sentences containing these phrases if they are good.

That would be hard to do and check for.
