An option to use BBCode on the About me & What I'm working on

To make people's About me & What I'm working on look a little nicer it would be cool to add an option to use BBCode!
What is BBcode?

It could be kinda similar to the Deviantart add media button but maybe a BBcode button?

EDIT: Marc92020 made a better version of it lol

The reason it would be a button is that new scratchers and such probably wouldn't know how to use it just yet.

I think it would be a nice addition, it could also possibly be added to studios and projects desc's too! It would give everything a more unique touch!

If anyone has any suggestions for this let me know!

You basically click the BBcode button and all of the little buttons (like the Bold, Italic, etc) would appear, well something like that anyway. Still thinking about it.
Edit: all the little buttons would appear on the top like in forums btw (but it would be a more compact version):

Edit: foressst made a better version lol:

I don't think I saw it in the The Official List of Rejected Suggestions, So maybe.

Quantum-Cat wrote:

Really, only text formatting options should be added. Links and images could be misused, and other tags, like the [scratchblocks] and the [code] tags, aren't of much use.

Yes, I agree! I should have said that! They should prob not add images, (scratchblocks) tags, and (code) tags, but the link one would be rlly helpful :p

~sniped~ it could also POSSIBLY make others feel more welcome to your profile, or more interested in what you do.

yes, I think it would! It would also make it much more unique and distinct!

Support, makes it more customizable and organized.
Would it look like this?

Edit: When you tap it, it would show the BBcode. Else, it would hide. I think it's better that way.

Yes, that is exactly how I thought it would look! but it should probably be more compact and the image and code blocks should be gone.

I like this idea, but I don't think it should be a button because that could confuse newer users who don't know how BBCode works. Maybe it just uses the BBCode, without the menu at the top, but with the check button there for those who use it?

hm, the check button could work.

I would support if the bio textfield is longer, with the current length it's basically useless as you can't really put anything in there.

yes, that would make sense, I also like that idea and think that would be nice.

I’d actually like to see this be added. However, I suggest a limitation where only Scratchers can use BBCode, as it can cause a lot of lag and New Scratchers can’t necessarily be trusted with it (trolls and whatnot).

Ah! yes I agree with that!!!

this sounds like a great idea!
kind of like how the forum text works?

edit: being able to add links like this is much easier than copy pasting the whole thing and taking up room!

This would actually be very useful so you don’t have to go into extra websites that don’t always work on scratch together the text you want! Perfect for those who like aesthetic profiles

That’s for text based scratch programming.
