This is a duplicate of this suggestion, but this one has more discussion, so maybe they could be merged?

Yeah, merging would be a good idea.

I think this would be a great idea, since while the sliders do let you have more freedom on what color you could pick, it is sometimes hard to get a perfect color. Saving colors in the palette also sounds really convenient.

Merged! I've lost interest in the forums so don't expect me to keep in touch with this.

Zoom in. you see that there is a smaller color picker? Maybe we could make that bigger, and not use the dropdown color picker/premade color palette.
Actually, that “smaller color picker” was a button to toggle a secondary color picker. It let you choose any color at the expense of being nigh-impossible to use efficiently. I definitely don't miss it (at least as the only method for advanced color selection; I suppose it could be useful if you want to select a color by hand without being too specific). Swatches and the 3.0 picker would be my ideal design, and I guess the classic picker could be alright as a bonus.

No support, I feel like the sliders are good enough and get the job done. A pallet's just one extra thing, it just provides BASIC colors that you can edit.

Good point, but I think this is suggesting including the pallet with the sliders. Also, even though the palette only had basic colors, it was more easy access.

Yoo guys they're actually gonna implement this!

Im not gonna provide the link because the two above are already doing this.

I'll keep this open for a little longer, then close it if it is confirmed to be implemented.

I think they won’t add it because there are more beautiful colours in 3.0, and that’s why I like 3.0.
