the new studio updates are completely and utterly ridiculous. due to the update:

-new scratchers cannot create studios
-there is a 25 reply limit on comment threads
-we can only have 40 managers
-managers can't edit the title, description, or thumbnail
-there's no option to invite your followers

how is this logical? first of all, putting the pressure of running a studio on ONE KID (the creator) is not okay!! teamwork is a thing, you know!! what if the creator of the studio is inactive, but the studio is very active? who's going to change the question of the week, quote of the week, challenge, discussion, announcements, etc.? all of the scratch camps aren't going to run well, roleplays won't either!! roleplaying is fun and creative, and this new reply limit is ridiculous!! ST, you have to understand that by putting a reply limit on comment threads, you are literally destroying kids' imagination and creativity! and what if someone just moved accounts and wants to create a studio? they'd have to wait 2+ weeks before becoming a scratcher! the ST keeps updating scratch (the filterbot, giving permission to people to steaI art, etc) without ANY feedback from the scratch community!! this is not okay, as scratch is supposed to be for kids to give their opinions and communicate effectively with other people!

many people, including myself, are considering leaving, and i wouldn't be surprised if this new update drives away many scratchers.

completely agree. this is just not logical. at least add a button to turn the features on and off!

I’m actually really, really sad about this. I used to roleplay all the time and just recently wanted to again. Now I can’t. If this update stays, as soon as I get a YT channel, I’ll most likely quit and move there.

I agree! A large chunk of Scratch is powered by roleplayers, and even disregarding that, it's a giant inconvenience in it's own. Adding on to Misty, what about new scratchers? What if they want to explore making their own studios to play with their ideas?

Back to roleplaying. Much of my time is spent with other scratchers roleplaying and making stories with our original characters in studios. Even just talking to them, whether that be in the manager chat or the regular chat. In my opinion, the reply limit, well, limits our creativity! Sure, we can start new chains, but it's very untidy. I agree with Mistpool!

At this point, ST is just asking the whole of the roleplaying community to leave. It's a big community, I might add.

I don't really like the new layout, but that's probably because I'm not used to it. It'll take some time.

ikr HOW IS THIS ACCEPTABLE?! I'm not trying to put hate on the Scratch Team but this update is ridiculous. WHAT'S THE POINT OF MANAGERS?! If the creator of the studio is inactive/deleted their acc/quit Scratch/moved, THEN NOBODY CAN DO ANYTHING TO THE DESC, TITLE, THUMB- I'd rather leave the studio then not be able to do things managers could do in the past update. I get it, there are people who betray descs, titles, and thumbnails. The ONLY thing I like about this update is the new user inter- Forget it.

I would really like to take some time to get used to it but rping used to be the only thing I did. If I get an account on any other sites I’ll most likely move there if it doesn’t get reversed

The old studios could be used for lots of different purposes, now all you can do without hitting strangely low limits is add projects to them.

I really want 2.0 studios back. I've used scratch for a little over 2 years and the studio update feels so stupid. i had a studio where there was a list and i would promote everyone to a manager so they could add on, and now we can't do that anymore
i guess follower clubs are no more as well.
