Color Palette for Scratch 3.0
That's true, now that you mention it. I like the idea of a color palette. I don't like the idea of default colors being there. Being able to change the dimensions will more or less be closer to the sliders, or the Scratch Team will have to make a palette for every possible size.

This is what I was talking about in the last suggestion. If you have OCs you love or are working on things w/ lots of colors and don't want to use the color picker, you can temporarily save colors so you don't have to use the color picker 50 times. An idea is that maybe you could set certain colors of the palette to be certain colors you selected. But this is just an idea for this palette.

how to use the color slider, it's the fact that it can be finicky, and I know that from the 1 year and 8 months I've been using it. General colors? Yeah, the suggestion is useless there. Precise colors? Very annoying to deal with.Exactly. As a vector artist I know The problem isn't knowing exactly what you mean. Some colors are just too precise for me ;-;

Support. I mean, many scratchers might find making vector art or costumes tedious (color inconsistencies), and this will help with saving time on colors, because the palette is right there. I see myself using this feature a lot, so I support.

Support. I like the current color slider system, but it would be better if it also included an easy access thing like that.

Well I mean the more exotic colors that you don’t see too much, you could add it to the palette instead of playing with the sliders. Let me put it this way: the color has to match up with the lighting and shading. If you could add the more ‘exotic’ colors to the pallet then you will be able to get the correct color easily. Also sorry if this makes no sense What do you mean by ‘precise’, from a vector artist to a bitmap artist?

No support. The color slider gives much more options, and I don't know why someone would have trouble using it. The slider is very straightforward and gives many more options than the previous color pallet. However, I do support the idea that someone could make their one palette for a specific project and have that there along with the slider. That will make it easier for artists with a specific theme/color palette in mind. But just replacing the whole slider is pretty dumb IMO (no offense).

Is this a different topic or something? I remember other posts on the OG topic.
Anyway, semi-support.
It's easier to pick colors with the palette, but you have less restrictions with the sliders.

So like your favorite pink or blue or whatever An idea is that maybe you could set certain colors of the palette to be certain colors you selected. But this is just an idea for this palette.

If you can customize your pallet, and have a library of your own pallets (like what GIMP and PhotoShop) has, then full support. This is not to No support. I only support this if you can customize your own. I don't want a list of presets. I want a specific color that I could use everytime for an OC without having to use the color slider that slides between different colors (i don't want 31, i don't want 33, i want 32). However, if it were to be implemented where you could put your own colors on the color picker, that would be perfect. It would save so much hassle and make animations and art so much more consistent. So semi-support ig
Support, for the following reason, It would be useful to use the color palette to save colors, but the eyedropper tool is equally as efficient.

And I made a separate topic for that: https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/topic/517605/?page=1#post-5291830/

Color Palette for Scratch 3.0
I am appalled at the argument that resulted from this suggestion, particularly by some users who claim to be helpful in the forums. I don't understand why someone would be vehemently against a proposed feature for the Scratch editor that does not remove any current features of the Scratch editor. (Reading the OP completely and carefully is important here.) I find it unreasonable to ask the OP to “prove” that some Scratchers are not happy with the current color slider. Judging by the people who “support” this topic, there are clearly some users who are not happy with it, and that is all the “proof” which is required — therefore the suggestion has merit.
I would love it if this proposed dropdown was a feature. Too often have I tried to get a perfect yellow color with 15 color, 100 saturation, and 100 brightness. Sounds easy, but half the time I try to do that, it sneakily changes the number to 14 or 16 or something like that. It would definitely be much easier if I could just use a color palette dropdown to pick the perfect yellow color. I'm someone who wants to really be consistent with my color choices.
Remember, the forums are a discussion, not some argument to try to prove who is right or wrong. Don't criticize people. If you don't like the suggestion, offer ways that it can be improved, rather than calling it “useless.” If you don't have constructive feedback for the suggestion, then don't post on the thread. Just because you don't like a specific suggestion doesn't mean that others won't.
but yeah, this entire argument is just based on a misinterpretation of the OP and has now turned into Scratch Forums: Infinity War.
I agree with these two, this has got to stop. This is suggestions, not a flame war friendly space.
By the way, support. I liked the old palette, and I'd like to see it appear again, just with a new color being added, such as the purple that is the default color now on 3.0, also,
Za-chary said what I wanted to say. Too often have I tried to get a perfect yellow color with 15 color, 100 saturation, and 100 brightness. Sounds easy, but half the time I try to do that, it sneakily changes the number to 14 or 16 or something like that. Zoom in. you see that there is a smaller color picker? Maybe we could make that bigger, and not use the dropdown color picker/premade color palette.
