Internet explorer - HSH (How's it Still Here)

Anyhoo, I have a slight annoyance with the login form, every time I go to login the little box with auto complete actions covers the password box, and when you click off to get rid of it, it also gets rid of the login form, so you have to click on the thin edge of the login form to get rid of the autocomplete box, but keep the form.

Or, simply put, use the html5 attribute, autocomplete=“off” please

How to give helpful suggestions about Scratch: Scratch Design Goals

A like the new layout - very slick, indeed. I have a few aesthetic complaints that I'm sure only bother me and no one else, so I shan't bother bringing those up.

Some projects wouldn't load until I logged in, others still didn't load. The home page layout is a little confusing, but I'm sure I and everyone else will manage to adjust in time.

In regards to the editor, will there be a wider array of colours in the final version? As someone who likes to focus on graphics, the choice of colours is very important to me, and I'm sure it is to most other users, too.

It looks great so far! Looking forward to future updates!

I think you should make saving a project kinda work. Doesn't really work on my computer. And also, for anyone who doesn't have adobe flash, this should also support java.

Yep! Our lead dev has just spent the last 3 days working on making save more robust. We should be pushing those changes soon!

However, making a java player as well would take too much work, especially trying to make things work the same on both players. So we have to just stick with Flash for now.

Can I also ask if you could do some work on loading from a local drive.

because I made minecraft full 3d and it wont load at all, so I can't do any work, and might lose it completely.

I know about tab, but rarely use it and some people probably don't even know about it.

Finally, can I suggest a delete all button in notifications.

I think that aswell as being able to change the names of variables, you should be able to convert them from cloud to non-cloud, and vice-versa. You should also be able to rename and convert lists.

I do find the user interface very streamlined. However, the interface is not unified among the game editor and the main page. When you are exploring or playing games, the blue bar at the top has a set of buttons and a search bar. When you are editing a game, the blue bar turns into a gray bar with a different set of buttons. This is very confusing. I hope you change the design so it is more unified.

I think you should make some more blocks

[ set variable colour to ]
[ move variable to x(number input) y(number input) ]
[ item (specific text input area) of list
[ set list colour to ]
[ move list to x(number input) y(number input) ]
<i recieve > {this one is wanted by many scratchers}

thanks i'd be happy to explain if u don't understand the blocks

Thanks for the feedback! We had long long talks about this . I was one of the people who felt that having a search bar and messages notifications would be too distracting when you are in the editor. People would lose concentration part way through making something. But others felt as you do - that it's kinda weird to have different toolbars.

Uh oh - yep, we better add that one to the list if it's not on it already. Can you describe what happened when you tried to import them? What kind of costume was it (was it a .bmp? We don't support those yet, but will soon.)

You could try making the editor toolbar similar to the main toolbar, i.e. the same shade of blue with the same button/menu styles, logo, and shadow. That way the transition would be less severe and the change would seem appropriate to the context rather than abrupt and confusing.

Might be worth thinking about! Also, we've gotten kind of attached to having those menus on the editor, which don't really fit on the main site nav.

However, since we do want to focus on bugs mostly, we might wait to rethink this till after the release.

I love the ability to see inside the project on the website without having to download it, but won't this also make it easier to “cheat” by changing variables or editing scripts for infinite lives? Since one of my main goals is making games that grow from an easy start to a very hard end, I feel the challenges could be ignored and games could easily become pointless when everyone knows they could easily beat a level that's supposed to be very hard.
i agree.

So do I

i think there should be a pixel art mode where you can zoom in and create art pixel by pixel because it is hard to do that in the current paint editor.

Uh oh - are you using Internet explorer? We have a lot of work to do to support that I'm afraid. In the meantime, you'll be better off with Firefox or Chrome.
Actually, that sometimes happens to me and I use FireFox

Awesome! It do really awesome- but soe blocks such as Scratch ID confuse me XD At first I thought that's what runned in “When Green Flag Clicked” (Without Clone Startuip) Don't run on clones. Well, at first it keep “tripping” me and I got confused, but now I'm a clone master! (Ha, but I don't feel so)

The funny thing is, since we can open old projects in scratch 1.4 and the _meow_ don't work in alpha, the scratch cat smiley turn into the text _meow_ in one of my project notes!

Anyway, there's an annoying bug. The “ask” block asks two times and that's very annoying. But strangely, the other block only asks one time! Wut's that? I have double checked the script and I saw that I had only one block put there.
