I'd like to bump this topic, but to make sure I'm actually likely to get responses I'll do it with a question.

Who do you think are the most unorthodox characters in the game? By that, I mean characters that play completely differently to the rest of them, and even contradict the Smash fundamentals in a way.

I'd say Little Mac, because you basically don't jump at all with him, and Smash spends a lot of time in the air, and Min Min because of how different her playstyle and moveset are from the usual, even among other Zoners in my opinion,

In a way a lot of the DLC characters are unique because they have something new like a meter or gauge that most characters don't have. For example, Steve has to manage what blocks he has and can use them to upgrade his attacks. Min Min is also very different like you said, which makes sense considering ARMS in general is a pretty unorthodox fighting game. To me there isn't an individual character that stands out to me more than the rest.

They announced the game properly at E3 2018, announced 2 characters at E3 2019, would have announced Steve at E3 2020 I think if it wasn't canceled, so it makes perfect sense and I can't see why not. Plus, announcements don't take very long, so it's not like it would take up too much time.

I mean, they kind of haven't done an Indie fighter yet.
Steve was an indie fighter, but he's owned by Microsoft now so he's not anymore.
I don't really get the difference between indie and non-indie games apart from the definition, but it'd be cool. I likely won't know who it is though.
