scratch should be able to have all of its blocks function properly without an internet connection (using the offline editor)
Just a reminder that these extensions are already dependent on internet connection in the offline editor:
  • Text to Speech
  • Translate
  • Micro:bit
  • LEGO EV3
  • BOOST
  • WeDo 2.0
  • Force and Acceleration

I agree that a doorbell extension is not likely something that will be implemented, but I don't think the main reason is because they require internet connection to work.
thought tts used scratch's internal engine while microbit, wedo and lego ev3 (wtp is boost) used bluetooth
also what's force and acceleration
also translate might need an internet connection, might depend on ai libraries in scratch, depends on what kinda translation apis we're using

Theory: This guy is the owner of some rival company of the ring doorbell, so he suggested an extension that would annoy ring doorbell users.

Is this a joke? This would not work. How would it know what doorbell to ring?

Do you mean some houses have multiple doorbells?

NO, how would it know to ring your doorbell and not your neighbors. This honestly isn't even possible.

Am I the only one who downright regrets existing?
