No no no a dupe was recently made of this topic and I bumped this up so people can talk on this one instead of the -0Nebula- one.

Smart move. I'll go on to nebulas topic and ask them to merge with this one.

Note: this is different then this suggestion. That suggestion is for having people like comments, like in Reddit or Youtube. I checked for dupes but couldn't find any, but correct me if it is.

My suggestion is to have people (only the owners of a project/profile/studio) be able to heart someone's comment, like in YT to let the person know they saw it, but couldn't respond for whatever reason. It isn't for popularity, its just simply to know if they saw it, or really liked it. The heart can only be given by the creator. IDK what else to say shhshheidsk bye
I really don't want scratch to be like YT sorry. In my opinion scratch is good because it is so different from other online places kids can be. I also don't consider scratch social media, so I really don't agree.

I don't support this. Responding to a comment by hearting it without saying anything makes humanity more disconnected from each other. We should always respond to each other with words for the sake of keeping humanity healthy for as long as possible.
i toattly agree, people should take the time to reaspond to comments. To me this idea is making people more lazy, not more considerate, sorry.

Support, whenever you comment on a trending project, within minutes the comment basically disappears unless people scroll down that far into comments

Scratch is not a social media. Why would you heart comments? Hearting projects is enough for me, thank you.
No support.

If you really like a comment, just use inspect element to find the comment id, then modify the link containing the comment id so you'll get redirected to that comment instantly, then bookmark the page.

What?? That is not what I mean. Hearting comments has nothing to do with finding it

The suggestion isn't to be able to find comments, its to be able to let the commenter know you saw it in case you don't have time to reply lol

Then here comes another argument-

People are always fighting over fame, and you want a feature similar to hearting projects? Oh boy, I wonder what the comments will be like if Scratch had that feature:

“*insert chainmail.* Pls heart this comment! thx!”

People are already putting annoying reminders in their projects to heart and fav and follow the user! It'll be worse if the heart comment reminders were in the comments!

Welcome back to everyone's favorite game show that I forgot about, Dupe or Nupe! Here, contestants are shown a topic and have to tell me if they think that it is a dupe or not. Now, I'll give you some clues to think about to help you answer. The topic has only two posts, one of which is a mistake. The topic has a much longer OP. The topic is older than this one. When you're finished, respond to this post with your answer.

I am not supporting this, loving projects is fine, as it gives an idea to people waiting for the green flag to load about how good a project is, but loving comments? Seriously now? Why is THIS supposed to be useful? It is a function only social media should contain, and
