Introducing Scratchbot--the simplest way to connect Scratch to Arduino and robotic
Using Scratch to interact with Arduino eco-system is very interesting, and I know there are already other solutions such as S4A, S2A, etc. but the new solution Scratchbot provides the easiest way to interact with electronic modules.
Scratchbot is a modified version based on the source code of Scratch 2.0 offline edition, you just need to download the Scratchbot(the website is www.scratchbot.cc) installation package and install it, you are done, no additional plugins needed, no command line, etc.
As you can see in this pictures, choose and connect to the serial port, download the firmware are integrated in the software, no need to use Arduino IDE.
There are blocks for standard Arduino pin operations:
Also blocks for directly operate some advanced sensors, but in order to use this feature, you need to use Makeblock electronics.
you can visit more details at: www.scratchbot.cc

Great ! I'm actually working on s2a and Xi4S.
But I cannot try your solution, download doesn't work…
Hope it will be resolved soon.

The main link redirects to MakeBlock
The Scratch for robots on the Makeblock site doesn't work

Here is the link I used
http://learn.makeblock.cc/learning-scratch/
but I've been pointed to this as the original source

Its excellent - VERY easy to install - I got it up and running in 5 mins flashing leds on a Arduino Uno board

Great project !
I sent an email to Makebloc but I have no answer yet about translation…
How can I help you ? I finished my own French translation of Scratchbot

Scratchbot fonctionne à merveille avec adaptateur Bluetooth (réglé à 115200)
Il ne reste plus qu'à le traduire complètement.

Arduino is a cheap board that lets you control things like motors and leds and read switches and get data from things like temperature sensors

I have all the different types of Arduino boards. They are fun. I will connect it to scratch and blow the mind of my teacher.
