Awww, we'll miss you. See you soon, though! But just to clarify- is the word count limit 1000 words like you said in the first post or 2000 like you said most recently?
Application for round 2 (copy/pasted the old one):
Username: JayZX535
Will you submit your writing on time: To the best of my ability (I might be a little slow until mid-June because of school, but I'll try to be on time)
Will you follow the rules: Yep
Anything else?: Example, if you want it. I already wrote it, so I might as well keep it. Otherwise just ignore
Darkness. All around her. Filling the room. Unbroken, save for the occasional flashes of lightning that filtered into the room from between the curtains, casting long shadows on the floor in the instants before they faded. Hardly enough light to read by- but to her eyes it was enough.
She'd read the book hundreds of times before- so many times that she didn't need light to know the words. And yet here she was, reading it again despite the terrible darkness. She loved the darkness.
Turning back to the book, she chanced a look at the window. Nothing- no sign of the Crosser they said would come. But he would come. They had never been wrong before. It was only a matter of time. The storm grumbled again in anger, but she hardly heard it. Her hands trembled as she turned the page, and saw the golden letters graven there, shining in the dark with a glow all their own.
Crosser child, lost from birth, shall pass forever from this earth
Alone, forsaken, trapped in time, yet all the worlds shall heed her cries

A shadow fell across the floor as the door swung open. To all appearances the wind had blown it thus- but she knew better.
“Adenara. It is time.”
She stood, turning to face the robed figure who stood in the door, his silver cloak shining bright as the lightning itself, yet hiding its bearer from all eyes but her own.
“I am ready. Let us make the Crossing.”
It's 2,000, and it's not a limit. Only a guideline.
Oh, KK That's going to be a lot easier for me then Thanks! (It's wierd… I can write REALLY LONG stuff without too much difficulty… the problems start when I TRY to trim it down )

I could have sworn it was fanfictions as round one… i checked it twice…
ah well. I'm guessing i can't do round two as well, i have an idea for that that isn't rainbow ponies (it's actually just something that i've been meaning to write for at least four years)
Hey, can i do rounds one and two? I don't mind if they overlap (it's a strain, but i haven't been writing much recently, and i need something to kick me back into it)

They probably won't overlap, but you can join them both.

Oh good. I'd better start writing.
Demigods. Hmm.
Most things to do with demigods have already become cliches, and I hate cliches. Hard one.

How long have you been on Scratch?:
Dunno.

How much do you write:
Some decent amount, I guess.

Excerpt of your writing:
Darkness. Then Light. Opening his eyes, a subtle yet blinding flash of light met his fatigued eyes, striking anxiety into his somewhat mechanical heart. Wearily moving what seemed to be a fully automated, metallic arm to cover his eyes from the light, he grew more and more anxious as to where he was. “Where am I?”he pondered off, his eyes rolling in the process. The only thing he could reminisce from his most distant past was complete darkness, which wasn’t much. Only a few moments later, his lapis-blue eyes got used to the light, and what used to be a blinding light became a dull, faint grey. Adrenaline started making its way into his blood stream as he started panicking, much like a child lost in the open world. Panic settled into his blood stream, making his heart pump faster, as his eyes darted glances around the room to look for anything useful that could help him escape this prison. In a few seconds of tiring his eye muscles, he found what seemed to be a remote(or a metal contraption, as he recalls) that sat next to him on the metal slab he was lying down upon. Turning slightly to the left to pick it up, he found that it was cold to the touch, sending a chill up his hand, then up his arm. He hadn't felt that in a long time; it was almost refreshing, in a sense. Looking further along the remote, there lay some incomprehensible words attached to a beige colored cloth, covering almost half of the metallic device. Nothing of interest. Placing the remote down in a thump to its original position, he stood up and jogged on the spot to get back into shape, not knowing exactly why or how he was doing this. It was a terrible plight to be in; really.

Strictly copyright, guys. So please don't copy, or edit it a bit and say it's yours. Sorry for being so paranoid, but I'm very protective of my things.

I'm applying to be a judge for Round 1. It's not too late, right, mintfang? :P And in any case, we only judge on June 28th, so I can easily join and judge then. :D

If your wondering, no one's posting because everyone's working, or at least that's the case for me.

Okay, I have a bit of an announcement! I will enter Round 2, and revoke my own position as a judge. Therefore it's possible we will need a new judge for Round 2. OR I could just remain a judge and just write it, just because. Probably going with the second one.
