Backpacks 3.0 (Public Backpacks)
It would be nice if we would be able to search backpacks and name them. Also if we could tag them? There could be a similar page to explore. Here's a mockup:

If you think this is about right to what you are suggestions, I could make more mockups (for example how you share backpacks, or how it looks like when you click one on this page).

Love the mockup! Will for sure add it to the original suggestion! It would be nice if we would be able to search backpacks and name them. Also if we could tag them? There could be a similar page to explore. Here's a mockup:

I think the addition of Backpacks would be nice, especially when you are capable of sharing the contents to others, allowing others to use them in their projects. It actually gives similar vibes of Sketchware's sharing methods, except it wouldn't be in bulk.
(replying to Zelfen) If the backpacks would have this issue, then wouldn't projects and studios also have that same issue, since all of these can contain data made by the community? Then you should report the user who made the public backpack and add details of the public packback through the text field, or report it to the scratch team via Contact Us. Actually, people could put things in it that don't follow the CGs, so it would go as soon as it started, no support.
also i think this is a dupe

Supported, because of the above given by reallysoftuser. No you cant change whats in a public backpack, only the person who made it can This solution is hood but I have to agree with GoboThePlant. It could end in unmoderated messaging

What if it was like Kahoot, where in Kahoot you can take common questions and add them to your quiz, and in Scratch there will be a place with common code strings that you can pull out. There could even be a thing where you could suggest a code string to the ST and they might add it in! I'll make my own thread for this specific idea… Tada!

It shouldn't be its own page- I'd support, but only as a tab in the Explore section. Explore needs more diverse tabs, in my opinion.

Tada! What about costumes? Understandably, this would be used less, but you could put all your OC refs into the backpack so you don't have to create a project for them, like I do. Great! I'm going to create some more (for example, for you creating a public backpack.)Love the mockup! Will for sure add it to the original suggestion! Are you thinking of something like this? (Not as the final thing, but just as a general overview)

Yes this one's a beaut! Though there are some language errors (it should be “Create a brand new asset,” not “Start a brand new asset”)

I did that in a rush. I'll do a better thing tomorrow, just wanted to know if the concept is right.

Backpacks are 100x better if you want to keep things organized and not clutter your profile with projects for the sake of just sharing assets with ppl Why can't you use projects?
