A private censor list.
I don't think this would work on the forums.Yeah, that’s what I think. Other scratchers may be confused when you quote their message and it's censored, so ultimately, Huge No Support!!!

I am tired and sick of the “polar opposite phrases appearing” suggestions (and yes, I'm now anxious).
So basically, if A was censored, then B would be put in place.
no support, it could modify definitions, and people would be confused.

not understanding suggestion ≠ reason to not support I do not see why this would be a worthwhile addition to scratch, so huge No Support!

Support, there are about 4 inappropriate words that I wish would be banned on the main site, but they are not. So if this suggestion was put in place, then I wouldn't have to see those words all the time!

And what happens if Scratchers censor every single word? Certain scratchers have problems seeing words like “hell” and “frick”, and they can't do anything about it because censoring those words is rejected. If those scratchers could censor those words to themselves, there would be much less of a problem and would greatly reduce tension and drama.
This could also be used to avoid or stay neutral in the heat of drama, by temporarily censoring certain usernames or words/phrases.
It would only affect them.

I am not saying this is rejected, I'm saying it might (like as in “maybe will be rejected”, not “maybe rejected”) be rejected for the reasons below:
8.6 Blocking or ignoring Scratchers This suggestion refers to an optional system that makes it so that you do not have to see comments that a particular user posts. This feature existed in Scratch 1.4, but the Scratch Team found that it buried any problems rather than solving them. Even if you block a user, that does not stop them from harassing other Scratchers. If someone is being disrespectful, be sure to report that user with the Report button, or use the Contact Us link if the situation requires more explanation. However, a system to block users while simultaneously reporting them is NOT rejected; you can discuss them on this topic.

might (like as in “maybe will be rejected”, not “maybe rejected”) be rejected for the reasons below:That suggestion currently covers blocking every comment from a scratcher. With this suggestion in place, you can still make out what they said even when some of the words are bloops. Still, people are just going to glide over the fact that someone said something bad and not report it.might (like as in “maybe will be rejected”, not “maybe rejected”) be rejected for the reasons below:That suggestion currently covers blocking every comment from a scratcher. Support. There are Scratchers who don't like the words frick, cra-p, lmao, d-amn and hell, but are not censored. This way they could remove them. Also, for the words in the list that get should be turned into (blocked) so people don't get confused. (()'s are 's, but it hid that in the preview for some reason. Cra-p and D-amn get censored on the forums for some reason)

I think that the Scratcher would be able to replace certain words with others, so that they can still make out what the commenter said. For example, "Dammit lmao“ could turn into ”Dangit lol". No support, still.
I mean, what if someone censored Scratch Team? That would become scratcher.

Alright yes, this feature is really easy to misuse. How about if a self-censored word is censored, the word is highlighted or underlined or something like that so the user knows that that word has been censored No support, still.

Again, if you misuse a feature then don't be surprised when it goes wrong. No support, still.

I still think this is rejected as like pavcato said, it doesn't really solve any problems. I also still think this will be more confusing than helpful.

Support. Would be helpful for people with triggers and those people that dont put a TW.
However, it should only be visible to that person, which people arent getting seemingly, and like some people said, should be highlighted so you know what was censored, and can choose to reveal it at your own risk.
While im fine with words like hell and damn, i know others arent.

This suggestion could also be a way to hide offensive content which should rather be reported instead, which just buries the problem instead of solving anything Support. Would be helpful for people with triggers and those people that dont put a TW.

THE SUGGESTION IS TO HIDE IT FROM ONE PERSON, EVERYONE ELSE CAN SEE IT, AND IF ITS OFFENSIVE SOMEONE ELSE WILL REPORT IT.

If it's not censored already, then it's most likely not offensive. This would simply help for people who have triggers. This suggestion could also be a way to hide offensive content which should rather be reported instead, which just buries the problem instead of solving anything Support.
