Just face it, no one uses polls except for you.
No support. Psh, if you're the only one going to use them why add them.
Where did you get that idea!?!? On every forum I browse that has the option of adding a poll, it's used regularly.

Actually, it would be helpful in forums like ‘things I’m reading and playing'I think I will build off this example. Most people would just say, “I like x episode” and that's it. However, with a poll in place, people who don't wan't to explain why can just vote, and people who wan't to discuss why they like their favorite episode and debate (not argue, debate. there is a difference) about why they think x episode is better
You could make a poll like ‘what was your favorite episode in season one of this show?’ And not have to do a lot of replies :3
deletd because my support change but i'm not gonna get rid of my og agrument.

Support! Polls could keep track better than posts do!
A suggestion: Maybe NS couldn't use or vote?

When supporting or not, people normally give reasons, and some are different. I doubt if this was implemented there would be tonnes of different options of support/no support reasons, it will probably just be the polls ‘support and no support’. From this, the forums may become less constructive (And probably less replies, as people will not reply and just vote). From this, no support.
Gotta admit though, interesting suggestion.

I know this post is almost 4 years old but holy potato that made me angry. “How dare they not read three pages of posts before saying whether or not they like the original idea!” People, EDIT YOUR ORIGINAL POSTS IF THERE'S SOMETHING IMPORTANT ON THE FIFTIETH PAGE! Probably not; sad that people read the OP and think they're done.
Anyway no support, I think that the current system makes for better conversation.

Bump.
I honestly think that the2000 has posted on every suggestions topic that has at least one post in 2021.

Not really; I only try to read every new post, not reply every time. A lot of the time I don't really know what to say or have anything to add about a suggestion. I don't even know if I started the “read all new posts” thing in January. …There's always next year though I honestly think that the2000 has posted on every suggestions topic that has at least one post in 2021.

Anyway, I have somewhat mixed feelings about this suggestion. I feel like actual discussion would be more interesting than a poll. In this subforum specifically, polls would probably cause a lot of support-tallying, which is annoying and shouldn't be encouraged. I could imagine some practical applications though. I just have a feeling that some people in a place like Show and Tell would make good use of this feature, so I like it for that reason.

Thanks for the discussion! Unfortunately, polls are not something we believe would fit in the forums. We are more interested in seeing Scratchers create constructive and helpful posts, rather than believing that simply saying “support” will somehow contribute to making a suggestion better. Although a polling system might help decrease the number of unconstructive posts, it doesn't really encourage anyone to think constructively — and we're more interested in constructive posts than we are in the results of any forum polls.

Keep thinking of ways to improve Scratch! Remember that Suggestions are not a popularity contest - we are more interested in seeing Suggestion posts work to make the suggestion better rather than show support or non-support. As for “Bugs and Glitches” - it's more useful to have the full details of what various users are seeing, including steps to replicate. There might be limited applicability in other sections - but we suspect it would lead to an awful lot of spam as well, particularly in the “Things I'm Reading and Playing” area. So, sorry, it's still not a feature.
