Pop up when you try to comment on a scratch team members profile!

I got this idea from The2000 but I can't find the thread.

When a user is visiting a scratch team members profile for the first or second time, a little pop up will come up, similar to the ‘this is a new scracther’ pop-up you sometimes see.

This is the mockup I made:

Do you think it could be worded better? Please add suggestions to the wording below!

Like I said before, this will only come up for the 1st and 2nd time visiting a scratch teams profile. However, if someone still reports publicly on a ST members profile, a ST member can make the pop up come for the next time they visit.

Is this to hard to implement?

Support, it shouldn't be too hard to implement and could make ST members' comment sections actually understandable.

Honestly, I want it to stay up forever, just when they click on the post button again it posts.

No more detail is needed, it would remove a fair amount of random report spamming on ST member's profiles, and mean that any potentially important things reported on a profile comments section could be done properly through ‘Contact Us’.

Support. This would remove spamming so no more people saying “thers a hacker who hacked <someusername> hiz accont is <someusername> pls ban him”

Support. A lot of people publicly report things on Scratch Team profiles when their not supposed to. This would reduce the spam for Scratch Team members. They should use Contact Us or report the thing instead of naming and shaming and publicly reporting.

But what if the comments were off in every Scratch Team profile? That'd be another solution!

No Support. A new scratcher would be really confused as to why “Good job!” is publicly reporting. The wording is extremely strict as well.

Now I Semi-Support. Somebody can say “Hi amylaser, you're doing a great job! keep up the good work!” and that would count as publicly reporting.

But– they could just turn comments off in Scratch Team profiles. Like I said in my other post.

That is just reminding New users for the Other times they visit. I also don’t think the wording in menacing

Support! This could help new users to know not to publically report and reduce the spam for ST (Scratch Team) members.

Sorry, that is far to long, it needs to be vague and to the point.

I like this idea. Many New Scratchers just publicly report things on Scratch Team member's profiles, and I think this notice would really help with that.

not sure how hard this would be to implement, it seems like a simple addition to the admin board…

I did not turn my comments off due to public reports. Those are possibly the easiest type of comments to deal with — I just delete them.

That being said many Scratch Team members have turned their comments off due to public reports — and that is a pretty good solution to the problem.

Hey, thanks for furthering my idea! I prefer my version of the pop-up text to the one in the mock-up though; the mock-up doesn't actually tell you what you can put there, just what you can't.
