HELP!

Hi.I'm new and well, I have a question. How do you make 2 characters in an animation talk back and forth? I'll need someone to answer this when you get it, so you can share your intense knowledge of scratch with me.

You need to initialise things first so use the when green flag clicked block to set the variable to 0 and the costume to not firing. When the space key is pressed you need to add a wait block then change the costume back to non firing for it to look better. Even better than a wait would be to play a sound instead.

@Natily you should start your own topic rather than hijack another but to answer your question; The easiest way to make sprites talk is have one sprite say something for x seconds. The second sprite then waits x seconds before it then has its say. If you add say and wait blocks to each sprite they can have a conversation.

HELP!

Thanks and sorry. I don't know how to make one so I thought it was ok to ask the question here. But maybe next time drmcw you could use a different word then hijack, so people can get the message, without taking it too personally.

“Hiijack” is a pretty common term used when what happened in this topic happens. You shouldn't take it personally. drmcw was not criticizing you. Instead he or she was just letting you know about message board ettiquete.

No problem. Try the changes yourself first but if you have a problem then I did remix it here complete with sound!

@Natily Wyrlwynd is right don't take things personally. To start a new topic there's a big blue “New Topic” button on the top right of the forum screen.
