Additionally, I'm gonna be honest now and acknowledge that the person in question (cruncherBones) has indeed made posts which have irritated me in the past. In particular, I find them extremely eager to dislike suggestions for reasons as arbitrary as “would take too long to implement” or “I had my mind set before I even read the suggestion”. That being said, they have also made pretty good contributions as well, like this suggestion.

I have some preconceived opinions of them which will probably come to mind next time I'm reading one of their posts because I am human. I do not hate them but I do dislike some things about them and their posting habits. I think that I can be overly aggressive on these forums at times, so I apologize if I have acted in that way towards this person (or anyone else for that matter) in the past. I cannot promise that it won't happen again but I hope that it won't.

Instead of subscriptions, which would give a Youtube-ish approach, it could be called project notifications
I haven't read through all the pages, but the person getting subscribed to won't get notified for that

Also, one problem, someone could make a lot of empty projects, in order to spam their subscribers

I would recommend against editing your old posts, as it would probably just make things confusing. Also, please don't feel obligated to change your posts just because I don't like them. Write however you feel most comfortable, I can't stop you

Support, I would sometimes like to be notified when others have uploaded projects, and I think others would like to know when people they follow have uploaded projects as well.

I disagree. The original suggestion (I'm assuming you're referring to the one which is currently active right now) was only to give the user standard message notifications when projects were uploaded by people they were following. All of the other stuff, even including the “grouping multiple messages into one” thing was not part of the original post. Pretty much the only two things they have in common in my opinion are:

• Optional subscription button separate from the follow button
  
• Displayed on the messages page in some form
  

I agree that suggestions aren't set in stone but I also don't think that means that everything that sets out to achieve a similar purpose should be in one thread. I consider the whole idea of making subscription notifications separate from standard messages and all of the mock-ups included along with that enough of a hypothetical detour to consider this a separate suggestion, but I could understand people disagreeing with that.

But you could have simply contributed your ideas to the active discussion. The benefit of this is that then ideas that people contribute on the one topic will show up there, and that way more people will see your idea and add to it, creating a beneficial cycle of contribution until the ST sees what a great suggestion it is with all of it's modifications and either gives a reason for rejecting it or makes plans to implement it!

This would be very benificial. This would make it so that way, people who like a certain inactive user's projects, could be alerted if he makes a new project Support.

Support! I follow a lot of people, and often their loves/faves get in the way of newly uploaded projects. I think this would really help clean things up!
