Cloud project simulator
Hello, after multiple nights of deciding to ‘sleep on it’, I have decided to suggest this. I thought that it would be useful to have a feature which allows you to test cloud projects with yourself. This would be like a little extra screen or something that allows scratchers to test cloud projects with themselves using the project as 2 users without sharing it. I think this would really help those making cloud projects frequently not to have to constantly keep sharing & unsharing their projects. Here is a short list of Pros &cons:
PROS:
- would help frequent cloud var users
- this would help those who want to test things like cloud chats(without sharing it for public use), that are not allowed to be shared.
The situation above is a little bit hard to understand, so here's an example(from personal experience): I want to create a cloud-based chat. I work on it for months, and finish a concept. just as i was about to share it, i got onto the forums and realized that these kinds of projects weren't allowed. I still want to test the concept, but i can't due to the fact i can't share it and therefore can't learn very much abt cloud lists and vars.
- This would help those who don't want to get into making cloud projects because of the hassle of constantly sharing and unsharing the proj.
CONS:
- This would pretty hard to implement

Semi-Support
Support for:
Testing it, you can test it but you can only play it by yourself. So how are you gonna know if it works or not?????
No support for:
The little extra screen, can you just already see cloud data????
It will also be very hard to implement.

I'm pretty interested in making/testing cloud chats (If I decide to start make projects, that is) but this method sounds like the road to private messaging…

Yeah, a bit like that. it would work a bit like a new tab almost.Oh okay… I'm a bit confused on what this suggestion is askingHow, though? you can only test with yourself. How would it work?

I support because this would be massively useful (currently I think you have to use multiple browsers all logged into separate accounts with the Scratcher rank on a published project), but this also sounds like a nightmare to implement. +1, and empathy for the Scratch Team members who would implement this (implying that anything from the Suggestions forum gets added lol)

You can open a separate browser window, split the screen, and test on turbowarp. It works.

Really? If it can access cloud data that sounds like a security issue to me. You can open a separate browser window, split the screen, and test on turbowarp. It works.
Edit: Fixed typo lol

just use another tab of the same project or turbowarp

Well, turbowarp isn't really official, so that doesn't really count. You have to have a different account and a different browser to test it, unless you can to incognito mode which most kids can't do. just use another tab of the same project or turbowarp

TurboWarp uses its own cloud server. Really? If it can access cloud data that sounds like a security issue to me.
